Well, that is actually very good advice. Protective gear Water Food Phone Extra vlothing Tools I would add a light and a tube. Those can actually be very usefull if you happen yo loose a tire and can't get it to seal.

I take spare gloves, when they get sweaty or wet you just swap. Same with goggles, I take an extra goggle so if I start fogging up too hard I swap, but also one lens is yellow and the other is amber, both can be decent in the same light but the amber is slightly better when its more sunny, yellow slightly better for dark forest. Its not that much trouble with a decent sized backpack. Spare tube, as I wont run tubeless. Bike light incase I'm out really far and it gets dark towards the end of the ride. Bluetooth speaker as earbuds are dangerous but having music is enjoyable, it also alerts other trail users and animals that I'm coming through, whether they want to hear my goofy Allan Holdsworth music or not.

I'm Mountainbike rider and Hardenduro rider too. In the past I had everything with me, tools, spareparts, cable ties, Tire repair,... All for the other guys wich came with me and asked me for help. I stoped this. I service my bikes perfect and have nearly no issues.

Funny story about someone who didn't have what they needed while riding their bike, I got a call at work on a nice spring day. It was from my best friend who was driving by my house and saw a biker with a flat. He stopped and took the rider into my bike cave/garage and fixed the flat and told them to visit me at work some time soon. It was their lucky day...

Next video idea, Blake, Neil and Rich, do an epic hardtail obstacle challenge on a set course with a few challenges set by Anna and Martyn to be accomplished along the way such as quickest tyre change with tubed tyres, could be messy otherwise, unlink and relink the chain and my personal favourite, longest wheelie. That could be fun although the boys could possibly wheelie into the next county before dropping the front wheel, might need a rethink on that one. 🤔

I had a water bottle and a helmet on my first ride and at one point in like my next 30 rides I added a multi tool and a pair of riding shoes. You don't need all this fluff to get on a bike and have fun.

I understand this video promotes the bags brand, but don't take backpacks with you especially on a long rides. it's an extra weight on your shoulders and wrists and extra layer on your back to prevent heat dissipation

We wouldn't recommend it! You can get a bottle cage mount that straps to the frame, that is a much better option 😁

How do we keep mud from getting on the water nozzle when wearing a Camelbak in wet conditions? Everytime I want to drink, I'm getting a mouthful of mud 😭

Camelbak sell a rubber bite valve cover (some of their bags/bladders come with one already) to keep the dirt off the valve itself.

The fact they've made this exact video many times before probably accounts for some of the lack of interest. Pretty common issue with GMBN. Recycled content with new gear to pimp for their sponsors is pretty much all you get now from them.
