If I could afford a bike like this, I'd get one immediately - I'd never have to be worried about being carless or homeless again. Its frame could easily hold an attachable canopy that a solar panel could be attached to, a solar power station could be mounted on the frame, and cargo could fit easily on that back seat, in fact, it's probably strong enough to tow a bicycle camper :) I'm praying for something just like this.

This hardly shows the bike at all. It shows a guy taking up the whole screen and very little bike! Shows no turns which are an important safety issue with trikes.

I had a similar non-electric trike for years. For turning you just want to be very modest speed-wise and gentle on the steering. Unlike a regular bike this uses more steering input. You should be fine with common sense. I was 14 when I had the 26" schwinn and I managed not to flip it despite being an agressive kid.

I recommend you make sure you get one with an electric motor strong enough to do everything you need it to do. As you can see, the bike in the video struggled to get up that hill. You will regret it if you get one that is not strong enough.

This is so helpful! I have cerebral palsy and have always rode a racing handcycle, but am slowly building up leg strength. This looks totally doable for me, especially on rail trails.

Any trikes carrying over 300 pounds? I live in a very large apt. complex and can no longer walk uphill to get my mail or packages at the office; I can ride a bike on flat land but due to weak legs from diabetes and my added weight, cannot get uphill, I need a little electric pedal assist. Any suggestions? (other than lose weight for now)

I have diabetes be frank with that and my problem is sometimes I get to enjoying my bicycle too much. In other words I get quite a ways out there and then I get pooped and can’t get myself back. That’s why it be nice to have something to just turn around and get myself back home these bikes would be perfect for that the bike I have now is not one of these it’s not bad, but if there’s a few downsizes to it, I might think about getting one of these bikes, but I’m not sure what the cost is just have to wait and see

I want to use an ebike for my work commute. I'd prefer a trike so I don't have to carry my backpack on my back. I have a VERY steep hill on my road...so steep in fact, the local Tour riders avoid it. What motor would you recommend?

@@sixthreezero I’m waiting for my 24in front wheel hub which has a 1500w motor and was recommended to use a 48v 19.2 ah battery or a 52v 19.2ah battery but most sites I tried are either sold out or way too expensive. What else can you recommend?

I'm not really that interested in speed, because I don't really like going very fast anyway. But, I am interested in distance range, and many of the lower power motors and batteries don't give you that much range. I am also concerned with getting up hills. I used to have a regular trike when I was in Redwood City, California, but I had to sell it right before I moved back east to Kentucky. The town I'm in now is pretty flat in most areas, but Redwood City was quite hilly except for right around downtown. I couldn't get that trike up even the smallest hill, and I didn't know what the terrain would be like here, and I needed the money for the move. I would like to get another one, but it would have to be low step through, and folding, and either 20 inch or 24 inch wheels, because I'm short. I am also getting up there in age, and have had a hip replacement, and I am concerned about whether or not I should ride a two wheel bike to keep from losing my ability to balance. I have a used mountain bike but I can't get my leg over it, so I have only tried to ride it once. Also, I live in a 300 square foot apartment, so there is not much room for a trike, unless it folds.

Unfortunately, we do not sell conversion kits, and convert bikes. We have not tried out any conversion kits to give any recommendations. We are sorry about that. What we can suggest is to go to your local bike shop or at an ebike store, they may have the conversion kit and help you find the things that you will need to convert your tricycle to an electric one.

This is a tough question to answer because it's based on the amount of throttle or pedal assistance that you use on your ride. 250 Watt/36V batteries can last between 15-30 Miles 500 Watt/48V batteries can last between 20-40 Miles

Would a front hub motor be best if the rider is is heavyweight or mid to rear hub?

HI Sondra, it's basically depends on your preference and how you are riding your bike. Although, rear hub makes it so when you are turning you don't slide out your front wheel because your front wheel wants to spin and spin out with the front motor.

Hello Keith, possibly the issue is coming from the cranks, bottom bracket or the pedals. It could be a loose connection or the bottom bracket might need some greasing. You may want to check on that. Hope this helps!

Once you get over 20mph to 32 mph ( I put 1200 watt front motor to pull heavy cargo daily ) you become Evil Kinevil as in for reals. Trikes ok for motor but NOT AT HIGH SPEEDS/ Its already hard enough of stabilizing the alignment going forward from swaying as the most notice able pavement to avoid other than the potholes and speed bumps are going on sidewalk passing thru the declining pavement of driveway entry. The counter shifting to balance is high use and with them declining pavement you can easily sway too wide to be able to counter the counter of physics, you will crash if riding too fast over but NEVER TAKE SIDEWALK unless peddling and always yield at them declining pavement. Trikes are like Stage Coach but without a Horse and a Wheel as the lead. Just like a Stage Coach you can not ride over 7 mph on turns and need to lean with countering balance and like stage coaches, you go too fast and with the smallest of bumps you will lose control if mph too fast and always a DARE when choosing to ride fast. I do this for 5 miles on a Blvd and can relate to the dangers if not riding more aware from losing control.

I have a disability, and something like this would be good for me. I live in a rural area that's quite hilly, and this is probably the only way I'd be able to ride. I'd still get the exercise when pedaling. Nobody would love to ride a bicycle the regular way more than I, but if that's not feasible, something like this may be a great option instead.
