DJI probably got a warrant to do this, but I don't even dare to fly during a storm. Not because it's illegal, but because I might get the drone caught in the rain from such a high altitude. I did it once by accident during night time (I couldn't see the clouds cluttering up and the weather app was displaying inaccurate data) and I got it back safely. It wasn't light rain. I felt it because I was outside trying to rescue the drone. They were pretty big droplets for a reasonable amount of time. I'm actually impressed that my mini 4 pro could handle all that stress on the propellors. So far no faulty electronics. Even survived a 3 feet crash from a low-hanging awning.

Most likely the pilot has the correct training and licenses to do this. In Australia it’s the same thing you cannot fly a drone in the night without a license to do so and to get it is expensive. We also have Commercial licenses for drones under 2kg so you fly it without costing a huge fortune and be able to sell photos and videos etc. Some laws are just stupid yet are there for safety of the user and people around the place. I am registered for both Commercial and Recreational drone flights however not for night and flying out of line of sight

@@der_chef the sensor setup is better. wind resistance better. and no weird stuff with RID. only a couple hundred dollars more. I love mine. but I live in the US where weight doesn't matter that much.

I live in lytham on the Fylde coast UK and I’ve been trying to get sea storm on camera for ages but my mini 4 pro just can’t handle the coast wind 😂 I will get the perfect storm one day with calm coast wind but damn it’s frustrating flying a light drone
