Costco is a wonderland for buying food and household items in bulk at amazingly low prices, and it’s not just for your regular home and kitchen needs, Costco is the only place where you can get a foot-tall wine glass or a jumbo sausage for under $5.
When there are so many good things to offer, it’s no surprise that Costco wants everyone coming through their doors to do so calmly and responsibly. There’s definitely a protocol you must follow at Costco, and the employees are not above marking your membership card if you misbehave. Here are some things you should never do in Costco.

Everything that is in the Vlog. Multiple times. I have seen someone on line to check out with a cart with less than ten items and they let a friend get either in front or behind them who has an overflowing cart after I have already been on the line for more than ten minutes. And then there is the food court issues with such things as people blocking the isles instead of trying to fit their carts in next to them. Memberships that have been expired for months. Kids who stay at the sample cart having lunch and not letting anyone take anything with their parents proudly standing next to them as they grab everything even with the demonstrator trying to reign them in. There is so much more, but I have been going to Costco where I am since they opened their first store which previously was a Price Club..

Some people go "The Other Way Around". Totally go against traffic. They start shopping with their cart from where the cash register is and then their ending is where the Costco entrance is. Then they make the short cut from the entrance to the cash register.

before Covid, they would take the stuff out of my cart, stack my milk, eggs, bread, etc on the shelf, and walk away with my cart. happens a lot because i am disabled and can not always push the cart down every isle when trying to find something. but i am close by, and only away for a minute or two. i caught several people red handed, and they heard me.

There have been _so many times_ that I've witnessed a small child standing up in the parents shopping cart! I'm talking the seat part with a belt. I just turn away & hope to myself that I don't have to perform 1st aid in a few moments. Parents are the #1 cause of 'childhood accidents'. Watch you small children! Don't ever turn your back or walk away & leave them unattended. Ffs, you're the one that freaks out on me! If I point out your kid standing up, being dangerous. Don't shoot the messenger!

1 thing I look forward to every year are the $10 lucky brand tshirts. I get one of each every spring. One general rule when I shop there is to make a list of ten items (because that’s usually just over $100) and that’s all I get. I try to be in and out in 20 minutes.

@@themaven8371 But how many dollars worth of food per year gets thrown away because you bought in bulk, and couldn't use it all because it went bad first ? And that doesn't take into consideration that the food isn't as fresh if you do use it right before expiring. For large families it may work out, but I just don't see it justifying the cost for a small family, or a couple alone. Now two small families can make it work if they use the same products and split their purchases, and they split the ""cover charge", with one going as a guest.
