Very informative, 6 meals which he suggested is very small meals eg 1 or 2 idly is 1 meal and mid meal of a fruit is another meal, like wise 6 meals ...one meal a day will be huge meal, very less people find it successful, one grandpa who survived 90 or few people survived is not what we should look at ...do we have the data about how many people were unsuccessful with OMAD ? what Hedge said is a easy to follow, sustainable ,can be followed for long time....

There's an old saying in my language, which translate to one who eats once a day is a yogi (achiever), twice a day bhogi (indulges), thrice a day rogi (patient). Eating frequently is western concept. Indians never even ate thrice a day. Ever since I started doing OMAD vegetarian diet, combined with ekadashi fasting I am feeling very light and alert and yes weight loss happens but it can be rectified through diet

So if one meal a day is sufficient to eat to live.....6 meals of the same proportion of one meal a day would be 6 times the amount needed to support life.... therefore surely what is meant is that one meal is split into 6 portions.....even so ayurveda recommends 8 hours between meals without snacking, which makes it only practically possible to eat two Meals a day maximum.

Dear sir. I've watched almost all of your videos. You speak very straight and hit the nail right into the head. I've high regards for you but this time you've disappointed me. Too frequent meals is like fuelling a car every 50 kms. You must review your this advice. Fasting is very good and intermittent fasting too. The body starts cleansing when we're fasting and autophagy starts after 17-18 hrs of fast and stem cells activated after 24-36 hrs fasting. Also our body is not destined to be fed all the time. We never had a constant supply of food. Our body is destined for feasting and fasting. And frequent eating is very bad for diabetics. That's a wrong concept because every time a diabetic (type 2 ) eats spikes sugar and insulin. The basic concept to reverse type 2 diabetes is to bring down insulin levels so that insulin resistance is overcome and insulin sensitivity is increased.

@@warriorwarrior9095 Hehe.. yogis don't eat briyani.😉 Bro, I understood your point, but still Neither yogi nor bogi eat tummy full. Eating portion should be with respect to the activity level. If one's activity is less and still feels like over eating. Then what they really wanted to do is yoga.😄🙏

Only 2 meals. But u can eat whenever u feel like eating. No harm in it. Don't stick on health chart. It differs from person to person. Eat what you used to. There is nothing like Diabetic. My father was a diabetic. He was restricted from taking some food. He became weak. But nil sugar. What is the use. Eat as your body says. It knows the deficiency. Observe your body. Don't be too diet conscious.

Don't believe him, yes he makes sense most of the time, but NOT all of the time. Instead, listen to him, but use your general knowledge. 6 meals/day, you're joking, even professional bodybuilders like Arnold & Jay cutler have now reduced to 3 meals/day, so BM Hegde says the opposite !
