Public transit prices are average but I have a moped which is also very useful. It's great if you have an ebike you can take on the lightrail. I'm actually trans and bi myself and I moved to Nor as it was much much cheaper then Richmond and you can use the Amtrak to get to DC or Richmond. It's still not the cheapest place to live in but it's much better then the rest of the state.
