I watched his videos, and there's one where he travels like way out in the middle of nowhere and there's like a gold boulder just sitting out there that's as big as a large dresser. It looked like it broke off the host rock as it sat, if that was real, it's utterly enormous.

Im not a prospector but I visited Oregon and while skipping rocks and messing around on the Columbia I reached into an area that was a little side stream of another stream that entered the river. I reached in and grabbed a 7.37 gram nugget. Know experience prospecting at all and I wasnt looking for gold lol, but I knew exactly what it was as soon as I touched it.

@@apapz3245it might be. But the Columbia River has lots of gold. I live in Oregon. This state does have a lot of gold and other precious metals and gemstones. My friend Steve found a few small slivers one day just reaching into the gravel/sand mixture in the river and seeing what he came up with. He still has the flakes of gold in a jar, and I’ve seen them. It does happen.

Well when gold is washed down a stream or river it will sink to the bottom easier than regular rocks because of how heavy it is. (Which is also why most gold found in rivers/streams are rounded). So, after they sink they are caught between the current and usually a rock. So when looking it is best to check in between rocks and in pockets or cracks. Hope that helps

Absolutely a fact! The first clip was fake! Second clip is real! Gold sinks to the farthest depth possible and oftentimes stops at the bedrock because it can't penetrate solid rock. It will work itself down into the narrow cracks in the bedrock, getting caught like riffles in a sluice box. Miners use picks and crevice tools to pick nuggets out is called sniping. Some people even venture underwater and do scuba diving, sometimes with a dredge. Real mining is hard work! Don't let anyone fool you! 😅

It’s not. There’s a million of these sorts of fake rockhounding videos on KZfaq where people plant glass “rocks” and cheap polished stones and pretend to find them. Some people even put them in concrete to make it look like the gems are being excavated out of rock. Plus real gold is way heavier than sand so all that gold would be sunk down to the bedrock not just laying there mixed in with the sand.

Maybe the place really abundance with gold. This also happens way back then in the Philippines somewhere in the mountains of Negross.. but when people know about it, they've been digging into the mountain, and they've even almost killed each other... later, a portion of the mountains collapsed, and the authorities prohibited 🚫 people from coming.
