I think the piece that Reg is missing in his Snowfall breakdown is that…..the whole show is outside of Franklin’s character. Franklin was a schoolboy. The whole thing started because he ain’t have the bread for college. For him to even jump in the drug game is a complete abandonment of all his morals and upbringing. Now add to that all the thing he lost along the way. His uncle Friends His high school sweetheart His community His parents He had to unravel his mind to even be able to operate the way he was. It wasn’t about what he deserved. Franklin needed to find meaning in all the evil he had done. You even saw it in the scene where he is having the conversation with himself. And his justification for doing it was….the money. The money was his cause. And then the money was taken from him.
