Finally got everything together to get the Super Stock 350 Buick fired up for camshaft break-in. It did not go as smoothly as planned, but we got it done and the cam does not appear to be flat... I was lucky! Thanks for all the Help Jeff, Jerald, Jerald, Brian and Dr. Art for the Camera Work! It was really appreciated! Lesson Learned... Don't take the eBay Score Dual Point distributor out of the box and drop it in the engine without expecting it to cause issues. But we overcame the problems to get the camshaft broken in and now it's time to tear the distributor apart!

I Commend you on your love for the Buick power plants. So many people don't realize this is where hot rodding was birthed. I have a soft spot in my heart for these and Oldsmobiles. Good man. Please continue. Be careful about what you get rid of.

I love how the engine is shaped!! And that color! Buick engines aren’t boring looking like SBC and Ford, they look cool and run great!! That makes owning a Buick so much better!

Awesome! Doesn't it feel like, as NNN edges closer, the content is getting awesomer and awesomer? Not just in content, but in quality of filming and editing and production and everything! NNN is improving the automotive YT world in some unexpected ways, I think.

That's why if I was rebuilding an engine, I would first rebuild the carb and dizzy, and put them back on and make sure they're dialed in, BEFORE removing and rebuilding the rest of the engine. That way you know that there are no questions surrounding these two brains of combustion. Another easy alternative for someone like you would be to just have another mule engine, which you can use to dial in carbs and dizzies for other engines.

It just sounds that way with the QJet on it. The Holley makes her much more rowdy. I’ve been dialing it in all day and making strides to get it ready for some dyno pulls.

Sure as hell sounds good! Funny you ditched a killer carb for a quadrajet. Most people woulda crapped their pants seeing that. 😂 Especially on breaking in. I myself do same thing on cam break in. I run a 750 Holly at track. On break in I use a edeljunk carb I keep on shelf

I had to go to a carb that I know worked. That little QJet has broken in many of my projects. It’s the tried and true in my world.

Hey Dallas, are the Buick 215 valve covers pretty available to replace, bc that’s one thing I really love on the engine! If I have to, I’ll buy another v6 set and make a v8 set. I want that same color paint! Is that a custom color?
