Ya, most people generally like it because theyve never or seldom use it. But after prolong hours of usage, you start finding it annoying. It's basically like art, if you don't have the knowledge, exposure and experience, it's hard for you to determine which art piece is the best. You tend to choose something that's vibrant in color because that's what the human mind finds striking at first glance. However as you gain more knowledge about it, you start noticing the techniques involved in each stroke, each color etx

Thock does not equal "good sounding." Thock refers to deeper switch sounds, which the NK cream does not have. NK Creams are well known for having a scratchy high pitched because POM on POM switches do not work well due to slip stick (which the switch stem sticks to the housing feeling like there is something stuck in there). Same thing happens with any Material A on Material A switches like PC as well.

for part 2 you could include Everglide Aqua king switches and Boba U4T's, maybe some Banana splits and Kiwis as well. Or you could just go over the switches that are named after food. I use the Everglide Oreo switches and they are pretty tasty, and have decent clack to them.

I bought one of those tester boards that came with Kaihl switches to test a few and see what ones i liked and what ones i should avoid and I organized them from least favorite to favorite. the Jade switch was all the way at the bottom lmao.

i have years if keyboard building experience, yet I use lubed reds on a daily basis. I don't think this actually applies to anyone considering you can literally pick and choose the switch you want for your keyboard on most sites that offer prebuilt keyboards.

Razer Huntsman TKL Red Switches. Got it for $100. Genuinely like synapse over other companies software. Slapped on some pudding keycaps, and put a sheet of foam in the bottom of the board. Happy with what I got but a custom is definitely next.

Just bought my first keyboard set up last night. Should be here in a day or two. GMMK standard full size with glorious pandas and the black aura keycaps. Have only ever used one mechanical keyboard before and it was a razer and I have no idea what switches it had in it, but I decided I wanted that shit. Cherry brown user here, I tested multiple packs of switches and still found browns to be my favorite; the bump isnt so heavy as to mess up my rhythm or make me push too hard and bottom out, but it's enough to feel it. And as for sound I handle that in the keyboard firmware and window-manager configuration. I love my cherry browns

@@kb-zealot actually there easy to bottom out but don't have the hard "clunk" of bottoming the keys out other switches do, thankfully it's easy to learn not to do it since they have a short travel. You just have to train you're self to type probably on them and feel the bump to when key activities.

I made a naevy stem cherry housing frankenswitch, it’s nice. Only problem is some switches actuate at like 0.2mm, but I fixed them. Sounds hella nice sounding.
