i may or may not have a bomb drop and drogue chute reversed at one stage and if you ask me why my foam high wing needed a drogue chute its because it fit and a had an exrta channel

I didn't expect the John Woodfield clip, his x-wing canard is a very unique design. His channel got me into balsa and I've really enjoyed building with it. Also, I am the ELRS guy. Some great PWM ELRS RXs under 2 grams for the Willy Nillies kits, and for less than $15.

There's at least eight sub-types within the glider community: Old timers, slope racers, self-launching motorsailers, giant-scalers, the competition thermal duration pilots, DLG discus launchers... raw 2-channel beginners... And we all kid about each other as well, but it's good-natured because you have to stay unified against all the gas-powered thugs that don't want you there at the field... We are nice to just one gas-powered guy, the tow plane operator.

I have a Radiomaster tx16s transmitter, Timber X, Apprentice Mini, and various scratch built foamies, one of which is a flite test design. I'm not sure what that all means, put together. Edit: oh and a dji mavic mini that I only use for finding other people's lost planes if I fly it at a club field.

I personally like my Tundra but I bought if 4 years ago when $169 got you free shipping and they still had someone answering the customer service emails for when it got roughed up in the mail. While some of the HK offerings since then have looked enticing I can’t bring myself to buy something where I’ll pay twice it’s cost in shipping and exactly 0.0% spare parts were actually produced to support it.

Dude I love my tundra! It's still one of my favorite aircraft. It's actually currently on my plane stand getting fixed at the moment after 3D printing some new parts because of using the flying brick to do stupid things as one should do when they own a durafly tundra😂

My kid learned how quickly mentioning this channel gets you escorted from the local field by the 60 year olds while the 70 year olds lock the gate behind you. They make you feel less welcomed than the time I accidentally walked into a Mensa meeting without a name tag. "What do mean I have to take a test first?" That's the last time I swipe right on chick with a foreign sounding name.

I have had this r/c f86 saber since I was when I was in middle school (im a senior now in hs). I loved it and took good care of it, it was a ARF from free wing , but I painted it (did a good job too) I still feel really guilty about what I did to its intake a few times when I was going through *that time* in the process of maturity… that was just wrong. I was a messed up child for sure! It probably would have ptsd if it was sentient great video, all the stereotypes are spot on and had me rolling 😂

Ive tried most aspects of the hobby now as long as they arent too expensive. Ive come across most of these types too lol. Honestly the most fun comes from cheaper stuff because not scared to crash.

hey there tail heavy, i am starting with the RC plane hobby, do I need to register with the FAA for a 1 pound foamy? what kinds of cheap planes (in my money range) do you prefer? I have a 0 - 200 dollar money range because I am still young, but I invest, so should I save up for a good plane or buy those cheap foamies from Amazon? thanks

Missing the "small composite glider i shoved a electric motor in the diameter of the fuselage, i filled the tail with lead to compensate. 50seconds motor run time on my 6s that puffs up twice its size and gets suck in the fuselage during the flight. All just to do no sailplane stuff except wind whooosh noises when i drop down form altitude only to rocket back up pulling 200 amps on my 150A ESC."
