Hate to break it to you, but that's pretty much exactly what Government Cheese is. Taken from wikipedia, "Government cheese is processed cheese provided to welfare beneficiaries, Food Stamp recipients and the elderly receiving Social Security in the United States, and is still provided to food charities." Anyway don't hate on American cheese, if you go into it expecting it to be like the "real" cheeses you're gonna be disappointed. Don't get me wrong I'm into the fancy stuff too but for something like a hamburger, give me American or gtfo.

Gen Xers too because we were there in the beginning. I had a mix tape I used to bring to elementary my uncle made me. Eventually, I made my own off the Dr Demento show. The people born when I was born were “lucky” enough to graduate right when major companies stopped hiring with good benefits. We were graduating college in time for 9/11. We had a huge college debt but no jobs because suddenly everything collapsed. No one was hiring, people lost their jobs, their homes, and everything they knew. It was basically the most unlucky time to be trying to start your life. Things are much better now but they still suck in a lot of ways. Health insurance is worse, the cost of living is higher than income, and you pretty much have to have a multi-family income to own a house that isn’t pre-made in a factory. It’s not about the previous generation that raised you. It’s about the people with power doing what they have to to remain in power and dividing the rest of us so we don’t do anything about it.

Does anyone else notice that weird Al puts his other song parody names in this video? For example at the 1:02 mark the crane says White and Nerdy from Camillonare Ridin dirty. The box the crane is moving says Bologna. If u dont know bolonga then u live under a rock. Also at the 2:40 mark, the box her feet are on says Bob. This is a song parody from Bob Dylan's song Homesick Subterranean Blues.

I have owned a Hyundai, shopped at Goodwill, eaten Top Ramen, tadertots and Government cheese. Washed my clothing at a laundromat, spent romantic evenings doing my Girlfriend's laundry, consider take out Pizza a taste treat. Yes I have cut my daughter's hair for free, I proposed to my wife at my friends trailer house, he lived in a really deluxe trailer park with a swimming pool. I had another friend who collected old and off brand board games. I have been in line, in the cold, outside Walmart at 4 dark 30 to get the Christmas specials. I have road the City Bus because it was free on new year's eve. My poor wife wares her daughter's old clothes, but I have never worked for Kinkos.
