Truth be told, since Goku was written as a critique to both Wukong and Superman, they honestly are built to be complimenatary even if that was never the intention. Literally put Goku or Superman in each other's stories, and the narrative would just have them make the other better. It's literally Iron sharpening Iron sort of scenario just through different cultural lenses. Goku would make Superman more pure through the course of a fight, Superman might open Goku's mind to more possibilities through exposure during shared adventures. Either way, as long as they are written in character, they both come out on top.
