Heya Folks, hope you enjoy the video. If any of you are interested in the Just Wood Burnishing Bundle you can check it out here: bit.ly/leather-burnisher I am super happy with how it has enhanced my workflow in the workshop and I highly recommend these machines.

If you can't afford one, what I have found that works is to get the wood burnishers that fit in a drill press. I use carnuba wax with mine

I use the same burisher and sander I just fitted them to my bench grinder but 100% the best purchase definitely makes burnishing a lot faster and the quality of my edges improved dramatically well worth the money

I thought about a bench mounted machine, but my leather working kit is designed to be portable (I can tote it down to the park and work under a tree :). I wound up going with a Dremmel for burnishing, and to reduce having to change tips out, I added a Ryobi rotary tool for polishing (higher rpm's), both battery powered for portability.

That's a great idea, love that you can go and work in the park 👍

@@JHLeather Keep in mind, my leathercraft is a hobby. Not sure I’d be able to maintain that freedom if I tried to make it a business. :)

Jo, you may want to try CBD oil for joint pain and RSI. I have been taking it for over a year now and have had little to no trouble with a recurring knee injury I picked up years ago.

I'll have a look into that 👍

Hi Jo, a helpful review. Just one quick question how noisy is the grinder when it's in action, unfortunately I have to work from home and I don't want to drive my neighbours too crazy (I already feel conscious when I am hammering things). Also do you know if the work light can be purchased seperate for the hobby grinder or is there no fitting? If you are unsure I will message JW before committing (I don't even think I need the light it just looks cool). Oh and a creativity task open for all... Instead of golfers/tennis elbow let's make it more suitable? Leatherworkers Limb?

😂😂😂 Leatherworkers Limb it is!!! It's actually pretty quiet, got a db reader on my phone and right next to the machine it is 70bd. According to the web, 80bd is the noise level of a busy road. So you should be fine with it 👍 Not too sure on the light attachment for the hobby version, you could get a little desk lamp to do the job if needed 👍

@@JHLeather wow thanks for going to the length of measuring the dB, it did seem quiet in the video but wasn't sure if that was edited etc. I may ask about the lamp before buying but its not a deal breaker! Probably would never use it.
