Switch you’re water filter to a sawyer squeeze. So much better than a life straw filter wise. I use it all the time and highly recommend it!

Love the Sawyer squeeze probably the best filter out there just because of how easy it is to use and carry.

Never hurts to have a small first aid kit! Maybe some sunscreen or bug dope too.

I fish Keiryu style with a 24' rod and try to keep a self contained rod ready for fishing. I have complete 24' and 28' rigs attached directly to rod. I wear a fishing/hunting vest that contains extra leaders, flies and hooks on leaders, forceps/clipper and Keiryu style floats. It also contains plastic bags for garbage pickup and water flask.

I'll probably add sun screen, bug repellent, headlamp and a small multi-tool/pocket knife to the bigger bag... but I love the "minimalist" option :)

Best Tuna performance yet! Highly recommend the Katadyn BeFree filter; switched to that from a lifestraw after bursting a blood vessel in my forehead.

a knife, triangle bandage and some aspirin might be good additions to either kit (+ antihistamine in the minimalist setup). hooked me with the poolside at the end- love the old dirt bike video with wild nothing too!

DEET and those wire metal hackle pliers -- they're great for helping with a knot sometimes. and magnifying lenses for me!

I keep everything I need in an altoids tin like hooks, weights, a few spinners/last masters, and clippers. Anything else in a phanny pack or drawstring bag like egg baits, hemostats, and handlines and Tenkara rod and some tippet/lines rolled up. My set up is really simplistic lol. I’m gonna add a smaller altoids tin for all my flies I’m soon to get or make.

if youre using a lifestraw dig a small hole near your water source, let it fill with water and settle. then drink from the hole. this way the ground filters out some parasites and other harmful bacteria that may be floating downstream from dead animals or waste.

I have a comment about MY bag! I am new to tenkara fishing. I have a Sierra and a Sawtooth…what lnes and flies should I have to get started. I got the basic bundle with the Sierra and some level line with the Sawtooth but would like to add some flies to my stash. Thanks

The kit that comes with the rods is a great place to start. We now have 3 different "loaded boxes" that have either dry flies, kebari, or nymphs that we feel will work in a lot of places so if you are looking to expand your fly catalog that is a great place to start.

It's a hip pack we made with Topo Designs a few years ago. We're working on something new for later this year that will be similar.

we don't have our videos monetized, so that gives us more flexibility in music we choose... also if you see ads pop up on our video, then I think the artist is making money on it through their label
