The irony that a diesel field tech's service truck would be gas is hilarious

Gas trucks are just easier to work on if that trucks would have been diesel you would just about have to pull the whole cab for some injectors

Wow, can't imagine you don't have a crane n welder on your truck. Very cool graphics on your truck. I love to get one of those 3/4" rachets. Thanks for the video Steve.

Carrying a crane every day for the once or twice a year head removal would be a terrible waste of fuel. On the flip side, if you're in ag maintenance you might use the thing twice before lunch. Same argument for the welder.

You should grab yourself a fifth wheel pin puller to reach the handle for your slide try if its slide out on the other side of the truck.

Hey if u can put a remote control work like in the top so u can poi t it in any direction you will save so much time turning your vehicle around or u can point it in the bed of your truck to light what u need to see. It's such a good investment highly recomend.

Those steps near your compressor look similar to what they use on freight liner straight trucks with reefer units and those steps are so you can go up and do obvious things like maintenance

I've worked 30+ years as a diesel mechanic, 3 of those employers have changed from service van type to service truck, present employer is still "in-progress" of changing over. personally, the truck should have a basic set of tools and consumables. special tools such as laptop or scanner are additional, as some repair parts and tools depending on the "break-down". laptops/impacts/jacks are useless if driver doesn't give clear information on what is wrong with the vehicle as he/she sees it. hence, sometimes, its just best to "tow it".

Nice rig for a work truck. It is a work truck as you said. What about an inverter and a bank of Milwaukee batteries ready to go to save weight rather than compressors, generator, etc? Not reliable? Not enough power?

I found the first problem with your truck. Its a Ford. 😄 That step is used on bobtails with reefer units. They are mounted right behind drivers door. I climb those everyday.

I can't believe you don't have a good Miller welder n torch outfit. Where's your industrial fire extinguisher? If you work long enough in this trade, you'll probably wish you could've, should've, would've aftermath of someone blaming you for there $250k truck. Or worst yet, someone has a accident from smoke n couldn't see the trucks n now you get sued for everyone's 60k car n truck. A friend of mine had that all happen with him. We are both retired now, n I do miss it. Like your videos occasionally, but I can't work n watch em both.
