We just got back from there. During our trip the wind was spotty, although we did have one 4.2 day that was very solid! I will back you up on the extracurricular activities. We rented e-bikes from E-Vass and rode a route that took us to the top of the mountain where we could see the beautiful Ionean Sea. That was epic! We took a private boat tour from a guy named Paul to the other side of the mountain where we found beautiful deserted beaches and stunning cliffs. That was also epic! I will back you up about the food too. We loved all the restaurants and bakeries in the main part of town. I was expecting the food to be good but it turned out to be *really* good!

Hopefully next year I can get there!! Thanks for the tour, that was very informative.....!! Everybody falls in at some point, even the guys that "never" fall in....lol......How can you not enjoy that place, you're a lucky man to be able to be there over the summer!!

Haha! The camera makes it look a little more bubbly than it actually is! Try some new kit though… you won’t go back once you have!

@@Cookiesports stupid question, but is it sand all the way from the grass to the water up at Cosmos? Hard to tell at beginning of vid, but it certainly doesn't look like the pebbles further down the beach.

It’s kinds pebbles/sand/gravel… small stones and sand but not giant rocks. In the water is fully sand. Definitely the nicest part of the beach to launch from!

@@Cookiesports Thanks, we are slowly moving up the beach and up wind towards Ponti. Started at Club Vass in 2016, then Portofico & Odeon and now Cosmos. Am sure the family will appreciate the lack of pebbles to stub their toes on.😀

Looks amazing and some cheeky jumps in there! If it's 30 knots how come you're on a 103 and not a 70L / 80L board? Cheers!

To be honest my go-to board in Vass will often be a 103 Kode or Ignite for when it blows (with 4.2-5.7)…113 Futura/ISonic if I’m on 6.5m freeride (ACX), or 141 Go if I’m teaching lower levels. I’ve got a 94 Kode as my smallest board in the quiver… just didn’t have any foot-straps or fins in it when I had three break that day! 😜

Looks so great, very tempting! Is the wind constant all year? Greece is a bit hot for us so I'm wondering if you can go there off season (September / October) for cooler temperatures

Thanks for another nice vid Simon. Really good info as to how Vass works. We're coming out in late September with Neilson - so, would I be right in assuming that conditions won't be as consistent then? Also, do I need to bring my own harness (I'm a seat harness user)? Many thanks, Mark.

Thanks for watching Mark! I love September… cooler air temp and still warm water… wind is usually ok too! If your ever picky about the harness you use (like me!) always best to bring your own!

It looks great. It looks like a super location for water sports and just for a holiday in general. I also notice what looks like a cycle track on the big hill on the right. I imagine it's a good place for cycling as well. Does anyone know a good windsurfing spot in Spain, other than Tarifa? I cannot get to Greece this year. 😐

Sold me too!😊 We plan to come to Vassiliki in the first week of Oktober. Are the conditions still fine then? I started windsurfing last year with the age of 50 and struggle to get planing (got planing here and there for few seconds). How do I find your clinic?

Depends where you stay, and the time of year. My best advice, book the Surf Hotel for accommodation, and the attached Surf School for kit rental. Once booked up message me and we'll arrange some coaching together! 👍
