The women panelists and contestants dressed in their nice shoulders out attire, , but the men had on long sleeve shirts, tied, jackets, sometimes a vest and undershirts year round, no wonder they looked like they were hot in the warmer months sometimes. I wonder if the women were cold sometimes in the winter months because they would sport a shawl or shoulder throw sometimes. Maybe they had good AC and heating in the studio. They all look quite handsome though and Miss Frances and Mr. Gobel are a very handsome couple here as well. Whom ever did the makeup for everybody did a very good job.

I am forced to admit that, although I thought I would be happy that Ernie Kovacs was gone, I actually missed him here. The show is simply not as entertaining without a real comedian as the fourth panelist. The three regulars are all appealing and witty, but not laugh-out-loud hilarious like Fred Allen or Ernie. I guess the search goes on here for panelist #4.
@neilmidkiff

Tastes differ, which is fine. I am happy that Ernie is gone from the panel. A small fraction of what he did was very witty, and I'm glad to have those bits archived here to enjoy, but I found him to be annoyingly selfish most of the time, taking the focus away from the game and onto himself. Part of the time he seemed as though he didn't even like being there, and that is just the opposite of entertaining from my perspective.

That's funny. I noticed that, too, but when Marilyn does it I wouldn't classify it as simpering. With that said, I liked her aura a little better when she wasn't doing all those mannerisms. She ALWAYS had in the back of her mind to not expose too much gum when smiling. That had to be tiring. She had a beautiful smile, tho. In her defense, she probably allowed herself to be too influenced by the studio hired hands.

A poodle-groomer is the same as a poodle clipper right? I mean, in the sense that it's not specifically down to the dog breed,but specie rather ...?

At approximately the 13:30 mark - that brings up an interesting point - I guess they didn't have adult diapers back in 1957!

No, that’s not in. On another episode a guest admitted they could be worn by adults. But this guest was answering about the nappies *she* painted, not some other ones made by other people.

3:56 Dang Arlene the poor kid is already embarrassed wearing short pants, but asking, "Do you perform with other little boys?" That's too much. The poodle guy makes poodles look goofy. I thought the kid was embarrassed, that guy makes poodles embarrassed.

Why do people in all of the WML comments find it necessary to state their age at the time of the original broadcast? Pointless and irrelevant.

Maybe it's just me, but when I binge watch many episodes, John Daly becomes more and more a pain to listen to. Constant interruptions on simple questions, and actually answering the panel's questions before the contestant can.

Furs back then were considered glamorous because only the rich could afford them. Only when cheaper, synthetic versions became available did people really begin to consider real fur "cruel."
