I'm gonna be frank here, some of those ladies's dresses were far better than Cinderella's. Edit: Like seriously, I mean no hate for the actress or anything. It's just that, after all that magical petal and glitter swirl accompanied by that vocalization, I didn't expect to see just a prom dress.
@ariiblink2 жыл бұрын
Ikkkkk they could’ve gone all out for her dress like the Disney live action one that one is beautiful and seeing what they did for the rest of the girls they could’ve done wayyyy better, It lowkey ruined the movie for me tbh.

Well, to be fair, Ella’s dress was designed in a way that she could’ve been able to do it herself, as she is a dressmaker. I’ve read this in an interview with the irl designer of the dress Ellen Mirojnick. These ladies come from wealthy families and that’s why the dresses are complex and sparkly and beautiful

@christopherkrulewicz16352 жыл бұрын
Allow me to hate on it then? Lol it's just my opinion so whatever but as someone who is a huge fan of Broadway and musicals in general both live and film versions this is downright terrible. I have not seen the whole film but this does not get me to want to see it. Choreography is downright laughable. The dubbing is laughable at points and Jesus the costuming is just all over the place, modern with old but in all the wrong ways. It looks like someone took the idea of one of those really bad avant-garde fashion shows you know the ones that have clothing real people would never wear and do a bad attempt at that. The songs don't even get changed up much or even mashed togther well. I'll consider giving it a full watch just because I love musicals and should give the whole show a fair shot... but this does not make me excited.

What's your opinion of this movie?... I'm considering watching it but seems like one of the 187th Cinderella clicheed movies
@gianna5262 жыл бұрын
@@gregorbaby4269 It's a cliche trying to break the cliche's. There's a freaking godmother played by a guy, which I genuinely don't understand, and he's literally the definition of a gay stereotype, he's got the fruity voice, he's black, he's wearing all glitter and uses words like "fab" Then we have the independent girlboss Cinderella who don't need no man, aka she's too cool for men played by an uncharismatic actress who is so snobby and dull it makes me cringe to look at her. Then we have the stupid wimpy prince, and the stepmother sings a crappy song and apparently likes Cinderella and doesn't abuse her so it doesn't even make sense, the stepsisters are so boring, and there's a mouse played by James Cordon. You may enjoy it, some people did, but as someone who's taking part in a performance of the original play of Cinderella, I am highly offended by the stupid changes that ruin the story.

That dress on the far right. Gorgeous fabric, beautiful colors that complement the actor's skin tone, and the lack of sparkle and sequins makes it stand out from the others.

I’m obssesed with this scene! And I love that by the end It is so similar (probably a reference to) the Can Can scene in Mouline Rouge ♥️ I get why people might not like this movie but I actually did!
