The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. Years ago, I worked in a woman's clothing shop in a mall. My VERY BEST CUSTOMER was a man. He wasn't transgender. He wasn't a drag queen. He was a man with a full beard who just like women's clothing. I was the only one who would help him. I got his contact information and called him whenever we had a sale or got something new in that I knew he'd like. He was awesome.

I'm talking like I pick up the phone and my friends ask if my brother is speaking 😂 (my grandma thought I was my brother, too). And while I was assisting in a kindergarten class the kids had an argument about whether or not I was a girl because "my voice is deep" but I "look like a girl." (That was fun lmao, I let them speculate for a while, though they eventually agreed I was a girl). TLDR yeah many girls have low voices that can be mistaken for a "man's voice"

I really appreciate that they actually put in the effort to finding a trans actor for the role. From what I've seen of the show, they're really good at finding actors that match the situations, and it's sadly pretty rare. So it's great to see them respecting the situations they present.

Although I agree that it is good they found an actor to fit the roll; I do think there are actors who are not transgender that would play the part just as well. The greatest part of acting is playing a part that you aren’t, and making people believe your character. That’s why it’s called acting. Hillary Swank for example, in “Boys don’t cry.”

It isn’t a decision, it is an actual medical term. It is gender dysphoria. Someone who is FTM is actually a man, just in the wrong body. And they will hate their bodies until they can change it.

I had a trans woman in one of my classes in high school. One day she wore this bright pink dress with sparkles on it and a bunch of girls were laughing at her in the hallway and saying she looked gross and that she shouldn't be wearing that. Once they walked away I could just see how sad she was. I went up to her and said "I think you look great! I love that dress on you." She really appreciated that and had the biggest smile on her face. We need to learn to treat others with kindness, that's just how it needs to be.

I was in a thrift store with my boyfriend (who is trans and passes extremely well) looking at clothes for him and a woman came up and asked "do you young ladies need help? The womens section is over there." And I stepped up so fast. I looked at her and said "actually we're in the right section. We're looking for clothes for my boyfriend." and I took his hand and kissed it. The lady look at me like I was crazy but walked away. She was at the register when we checked out and asked "did you ladies find everything OK?", eyeing the both of us. And I saw red. I stepped up in front of my boyfriend and looked her dead in the eye and said " yes, me and my BOYFRIEND did. And if you call him a lady or woman again I will not hesitate to slap you." And anyone who knows me knows I don't play. I have many trans friends and I will throw down for them. The lady didn't question me again and we left after he kissed me Lol.

I think it just means that the world is evolving and what may have been acceptable before we now know isn't.

Brendan Katsukure the reason people say that is because before people where ignorant asf and now we are accepting a lot of things that where not accepted back then. This generation has a lot of knowledge on things like this then people before.
