What would you do when you think no one is watching? What Would You Do? (WWYD?) explores the varying answers with the help of hidden cameras capturing individuals who have been placed within seemingly everyday situation that quickly go ary. The individuals on this hidden camera show are forced to make tough calls when directly faced with situations of racism, violence, hate crimes, and other hot button cultural issues. Catch John Quinones reporting on these individuals as they make split-second decisions to intervene or mind their own business. WWYD? airs Friday nights at 9|8c on ABC.
What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

When I got out of the military and waiting for my disability I was in the same boat as this dude. I get to the register and someone had gave the cashier 100$ for me, as I left the store in tears because I don't know who did this for me. I want to say thank you. After I got my disability straight, I was in line and the guy in front of me a Vietnam Vet was a day early from getting his va check and didn't have the money , so I paid for his groceries.

That's the God's truth. And the reason why they do it is easy - because they've been there. They've been the one standing there having to decide which necessary food items they will leave behind because they can't afford them. I would use my own grocery money to pay for the person in front of me if they didn't have enough because I can't tolerate anyone going hungry. There is NO EXCUSE in North America for even ONE person to go to bed hungry. We throw away enough food every day to feed every hungry and homeless person on this continent. It is a crying shame what corporations throw out. We grow enough food to feed everyone ten times over and yet we have thousands who are hungry. There's something seriously wrong with the food chain.

@@2ndhandSue I agree, it’s painful to even hear about people starving. I also get upset when people don’t eat everything they take and throw the leftovers away. I bet there’s someone, somewhere, who would do anything just to eat that food.

I've done the same thing. I went to a Circle K in Phoenix one morning for coffee. A woman stepped up and paid for gas with 1.49, saying it was all she had. I stepped up and put a 20 on the counter. Told the cashier to add ten bucks to her gas. She started to cry. Gave me the biggest hug I've ever had. Never saw her again. But damn it felt good.

Its difficult to explain but if you see a veteran in need help them, most are doing the best they can. The fact he's military says many things that you wouldn't know about people not in the military. Military salaries are public knowledge based on years and rank and active/inactive duties. We know they are low paid at the lower ranks and sometimes in poverty. We also know they signed up and willing to sacrifice their lives, be away from families, etc. We don't know those things about random people. Most of us agree in helping the needy but it's appalling to know that welfare recipients have cable tv, cell phones, internet, plenty of tobacco and alcohol yet still claim they are needy! Anyone willing to give up those non essentials would be graciously given to but until they give up those luxuries most tax payers view them as the lazy freeloaders they are!

@@Huge_Echman - That is about the stupidest question I've seen on ANY video for a long time! For one thing, how would you know whether or not he was a child molester? You *wouldn't* ! Secondly, is there some unwritten fact that child molesters nor their families don't need to eat? Of *course* they do! Use that head for something more than a hat rack, okay?

As a veteran, I honestly would've thought that he was stolen valor. I would help a fellow vet, but wearing a uniform jacket in civilian clothes is suspicious.

Not one soldier should EVER be in this position if it isnt self inflicted. Never homeless, never broke, never embarrassed. These men and women are the reason i can stand here safely and watch KZfaq in a country where i can do anything i want, say anything i want, and be anything i want. We CANNOT lose that ever!! To any soldiers reading this we love you, we respect you and you are appreciated.

My uncle is a veteran and once he got home, he got nothing he lives now in a ramshackle house with his disabled wife. He gets no help, I would but I work minimum wage and cannot afford to help much, the government needs to help all veterans.

Robert Llinares how is protecting your country a bad choice? I have the utmost respect for anyone willing to serve and trust me when I say that not all people in the military are great but darn it they still sacrificed their life in the form of time to serve and they deserve to come back with some benefits.
