WHEEL CHANGE AND NEW TYRES FOR THE AUDI A3 8P

It was long overdue to do something about these wheels, and eventually the time has come. Alongside the changes to the wheels I went and got some fresh rubber to keep the car planted on the ground, matched with the four wheel alignment in the last video the car now feels unreal! Check out the video to see the new look, hopefully you think it looks as good as I do!

definitely makes the car pop more than the previous colour👌🏽 toying with the idea of sticking a set of 19” gunmetal TTRS alloys on my A3 , not easy on the wallet tho!🤥

Lovely job man..id have gone gunmetal meself though the silver as ye say does really make the car newer an more modern looking....cracking looking all the same👍👍

Just fancied a change really, I like the wheels and the darker they are the more you lose the details. Hopefully tie in with the new s3 mirrors nicely. Cheers!

Hi mate, the wheels are looking really really good, one thing I would say is, do a video of you painting your brake callipers, they would look so much better, and finish it off

Nice colour choice mate. Only thing I would have done the alignment after you fitted the new tyres...

Thanks for watching mate, I did check with the garage that did it and he told me that it didnt matter since the hunter alignment went from the hubs.. could be wrong who knows 😂

Always enjoy your viseo8 mate as I got A3 s line quick question it makes a rumbling noise from front drivers side while driving it's ok while it's stationary my mechanic had look he's got no idea and also I took it to Audi they haven't got a clue. I was wondering if you you have any ideas. Cheers mate

if its only when moving my first guess would be wheel bearing? I had a wheel bearing recently in my other car that didnt have any play but made a horrible noise when driving, when I changed it, it literally fell to pieces!

Thanks for your reply that was the first thing they eliminated it's not wheel bearing it's just so ennoyin not knowing what it is. Love the wheels mate that's my next project after sorting this noise out. Cheers

What kind of noise you getting? Mine sounds like the bearings are on their way out when turning in either direction but haven't had it confirmed yet.

How are the tyres performing as daily drivers and hows the wear on them after a couple of months?

Tyre's are brilliant all round, I thought they may be overkill for a car that isn't really a performance car but to be honest the wet weather grip here in the UK makes them worth it. In this size they worked out around £300 for the set and budget tyres came in at over £200!

Looking forward to the thermostat vid 👍 It's something I need to do on mine haha! It's buried in the engine bay though... need to remove the alternator to get to it

Gold or bronze would have looked sick for the wheels. But I'm not to sure what gold wing mirrors would look like 😂

totally agree, if it was an s3 or something sportier I would have gone for bronze.. but I'm glad I chose silver overall!

@@matimcfetridge I gave it a shot but couldn’t get it out passed some bracket by the alternator😂 Have the exact same car and it’s not getting up to temperature

Mine was £90 but the other car I took was £45 so obviously depends how far out your car is!

@@matimcfetridge well I have the 140 black edition and I'm really considering it...its had a new gearbox and clutch so I'm thinking its all sound and will take the power increase to 190bhp which is what they quoted...I can have it down on the 20th when they install my cruise control...car looks really good BTW keep up the good work....

@@matimcfetridge try this website Mate.... triple r composites and select the audi 8p face lift and check out the front splitter...I had mine fitted couple of years ago and there really nice. Let me know what you think

Shame you think this is clickbait as there was definitely a change to the wheels and definitely new tyres as well, unsure how I could of made the title anymore to the point? Don't forget not all companies are happy with pointing a camera at them whilst they are working and some don't have to time to do things twice just so someone like me can film them... In terms of ads I really don't know what you want me to do, I spent over 500 quid making this video and probably got like 7 pounds back from ad revenue.... don't go thinking anyone can justify KZfaq long term without a little help from Ads! PS just in case you didn't notice, this video cost you nothing to watch after costing me hundreds and hours of time to make it.... if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything.
