In this video we lock the rear axle differential by modifying the gear set with steel plates. The steel plates are welded to the axle gears and in between the pinion gears.

That tube is for a cable I believe for the rear implements, you can get rid of it. I ran a little 4 pinion for a long time and beat the crap out of it. Your locker looks solid. I always say, time will tell. Great vid.

Thank you, I think it will too! We are trying to get his tractor set up right. If it wasn’t for all you guys out there who have already found the weak points, we’d be flying blind 😅

I agree welding the pinion wouldn't gain anything. I was that person that was trying to tell you to flip that trans over to open it. LOL. All good. Great video! I need to get me one of those presses as one of my WH hubs would not come off. I was able to work around it though. Catch ya on the next one.

Thank you! BTW I’ve had that press for about 20 years (they last). I bought it from a guy who moved and sold his stuff from his garage. It’s a Harbor Freight brand I believe. It’s one of those things you don’t always use but when you need it, you sure need it!

I can't believe you washed all the grease and grime into that creek. Need to be environmentally aware and thoughtful. Other than that, good video.

You got a point there! However, we drive the mud mowers through the creek all the time, can’t be worse than that! The creek is spring fed about 100 yards upstream from there, it’s our water source! Right now the county is running a city water line through the area. They are running heavy equipment to cut the trench and the ditch which overheats sometimes. There’s hydraulic fluid all over the place….anyway, thanks for watching!
