After you put the boot on and get confronted by the driver, make it clear right away that they have parking violations and immediately provide them with the phone number to pay and that you will take the boot off right then. This is what I notice that's lacking, it doesn't seem clear to them in many cases. Some of these people are pretty decent and some are obviously hostile. but sometimes there is no need for a confrontation.
