Kate and Michael are the GOATs and the WoT audiobooks are excellent. It turns the books into this amazing (and amazingly long) movie that you never want to end

@@TheDustyWheel Absolutely recommend. I actually did the audio books for my first time through (after reading Eye of the World normally) and now I'm going back through reading. Such a different experience, both good in their own way. I'm amazed at how off some of my head canon is when it comes to the spelling of names and places.

I’d also argue that if you’ve ONLY consumed WoT by Audiobook, and not read the actual books, you’re 💯 missing out.

I could listen to their voices forever. Over my many rereads/re-listens, often Michael or Kate have read me to sleep, or read to me as I’m in hospital recovering from another operation. So their soothing voices have helped me cope in some very painful/depressing moments in my life. So I shall always be thankful to them. I’ve also some of their non Wheel of Time audiobook readings, and they’re just as good. But their wheel of time renditions are still the best of all their works I’ve heard ❤️

Adore this! My husband and I used to listen at work for the post office in the early part of the millenia, sending cassettes down the line... we wont talk the amout of batteries we needed. LOL Their voices are just splendid and its wonderful to see them read it!!

I know he's saying thakkun dar. But the way those K sounds resonate to me causes me to hear the Tha sound like an F sound. Brilliant. When I started to type this observation out I figured that I was just being immature, now I realize that he's saying it such a way as to sound like he's cursing...

My favorite part was when Mat started talking bout how he didn't want to work, and Rand asked how he planned to make a living without working. Mat said Oh, I'll rescue an Aes Sedai and she'll be grateful. Ahhhh, the innocence of youth....

Mask of Mirrors real??- we all know Michael is a 7 foot tall armored knight world-weary yet still hopeful that obviously does all his oration from the back of some grizzled Andalusian Stallion - and of course Kate reads only from her tall crystal throne center in a fairy ring while illuminating her manuscripts only by the reflected moonlight of the gemstones skillfully locked in place by her flowing hair...

If it's still the case that there is no recording of Kate and Michael reading Ravens for the audiobooks it makes me curious if that is something that would ever happen and be added to the audiobooks? 🤔

Sorry to add a dissenting view but I don't like the phrasing Michael in particular uses and, for me, the accent is too strong and some of the pronunciations just seem wrong. It's a bit like the audiobooks of the Harry Potter series - Stephen Fry got it just right, Jim Dale less so. But if you see it as an added element to your enjoyment, that's wonderful, just not for me.
