Craziest game I’ve ever been to. Shoutout to Florida for not giving up, of course we make it more stressful than it needs to be.

Crazed hardcore Pitt fan back again. I gotta say, after the Vol's beating my boys two weeks ago. I've become a fan. My 2nd favorite team used to be Boise State. But I have made the official move to becoming a Vol's fan. You guys really put it in gear in this game. But it seems like you like giving your fans a scare. LOL. I now officially root for your team in all games that aren't against Pitt ! Respect to my southern brothers.

As a gator fan, good job Tennessee; brought this thing back to a real rivalry and made the results of the game matter. Wow, great game.

omg my heart about shot out of my chest when Fla recovered that onside kick so deep downfield and there was almost no one there to tackle him. I legit had to go outside and wait to hear everyone cheering to know we stopped them from winning. It would be nice to have an important win that didnt give me a new ulcer .

I was sooooo nervous at the end of this game - I thought it was Deja Vu all over again when Florida recovered the onside kick... Thank god I was wrong. Go Vols! But hats off to Florida. Such poise and grit to come into Neyland Stadium and not give up like that. It sounded electric and deafening from my TV. Can't imagine in person let alone on the field.

My main thing from this game is we got week 1 Gators and week one AR and still got the W. AR played a good game but Hendon “Heisman” Hooker was on a mission and couldn’t be stopped. Congrats to Florida for not giving up though.

I’m a vol all the way and yes we know Florida has owned us through the years, we know we should’ve won easier than we did against Florida, we know we’ve sucked or have been average for a decade and a half. We know, we don’t need to be told. However, yesterdays win was HUGE for this program. We have struggled to beat ranked teams, rivals and have all around been struggling. What Josh has done since coming here in two short years is nothing short of incredible. Our program was in disarray after 2020. NCAA has been on our ass, loss of scholarships, 30+ transfered out of Tennessee going into the 2021 season and despite all that, Heupel got us to a bowl game in year 1 and now beating Florida which has been such a headache for Vol teams to do the last 20 years. We are absolutely not there yet to where we were in the 90’s. We’ve gotta work on the defense, special teams at times can still be an issue, there are other things that need to be corrected. The coaching staff knows all of this. However, yes, I will celebrate this win over Florida. Idc if it sounds pathetic to other fan bases, idc if gator fans laugh at that, idc if Florida isn’t as good as years past (even though they beat a good Utah team) whatever. I’ve seen this program struggle and blow games so many times. ESPECIALLY against equally mediocre Florida teams. I’m hoping things are changing for the better. There’s not a university I would rather root for than the university of Tennessee. I mean, come on…look at that stadium. Go damn vols no matter what.

A couple of pointers for Tennessee (or any football team that wants to win games): 1. Never quit playing until the game's over. Josh Heuple even said we need to play hard for 60 minutes in the pregame. 2. Never stop blocking until the play is over. Also, I thought horse collar tackles were illegal, but maybe that's just the NFL. The refs never had control of this game at any point.

Stupid for Florida to go for 2 and chase for points the rest of the game. Kick the field and at the end of the game, all you would need is to get in field goal range to send it to OT. Only chase points when it matters.
