It was just one of those unfortunate moments, get over it. If you’re an Ole Miss fan you’re gonna think our whole program is dirty when Saban retires and Lane leaves Oxford for Tuscaloosa. The drive before the last when they had it 4th down at the 40 something with 5 minutes they should have either tried the fg or atleast punted it to pin bama deep. They went for it and gave bama the ball at almost the 50 yard line and they drove down and got the 2nd fg to put the mmmm up 30-24 and then the last drive they just couldn’t finish it down in the red zone. And in my opinion idk why they didn’t give to Judkins any down there because they drove it down field with him to get there and then decided to pass every play

((Proud)) - just like I am - these guys could have easily laid down in the 2nd quarter after falling behind 17-7 (no playoffs hopes, no SEC championship game hopes, 2 losses on the last play of the game) - yep they could have rolled over but they fought back - and for the 1st time this season it looked like they were having fun and relaxed during that 3rd and 4th quarter - maybe they just had to much pressure on them this season - this is a totally different breed of kids than Mark Ingram, Julio Jones, Trent Richardson were - I want go into detail, out of respect for the current players but this is not the same breed - but I am so proud of our guys tonight - Roll Tide

@@cavemanriley yep you are right - could easily have 5 losses on the year or could easily be undefeated getting ready to close out the regular season and head to Atlanta - I know one thing, this season has not been good on my health (seriously) - mentally draining - I get too amped up for Bama football (every year) - this has been a tuff one - this almost feels like 2010 and we have not even made it to the Iron Bowl yet

As all great coaches do, eventually they fall. Many like myself have said that the longer he stays, you'll eventually see this. But of course the obnoxious Bama fans always say, wait til next year, he'll play for NCs every year he's coaching, blah, blah, blah. This year he is struggling and struggling bad. Barely beating teams. Of course the fans will never admit they were wrong. Thought you all said he'd be back again this year to win a NC??? Let me guess....you meant next year huh. 😂😂😂

@@Hayyyward I seem to remember 9 National Championship game appearances and 6 rings - let me guess, your school doesn't even have 9 division titles in the last 16 years (am I right?) - yea I know it - but like I said, very close to being undefeated or having 5 losses - this boils down to being undisciplined - maybe it is the coaches fault or maybe we have a group of kids that are not focused at all times - but I still count those 9 National Championship game appearances and 6 rings - what your count??

I know at Maryland they barely draw a few hundred people for regular season baseball games, while the roaring crowd at the football games can be heard from miles away. It is great for the baseball kids to get the acknowledgement on that grand stage.

I've noticed two differences about this season and past ones: 1) a lot of turnovers coming from targeting the ball, actually punching at the ball during tackles. 2) On 4th down and short, within field goal range, teams are going for the 1st down/touchdown. #1 is what is it is. #2, though, just seems stupid to me. Unless you're sure you're dominating the line, then you take the near certain 3 points. Had Ole Miss taken the first field goal, and the rest of the game played out the same, then on the final drive they'd only have needed another field goal to go into overtime. I know saying "had the rest of the game played out the same" is a weak point in my argument, but the stupidity of losing the field goal still stands. Barring being down by three-plus points and needing six, if you want to win, then you take the easy 3.

there were two potential field goals lane decided to try and convert to more. 2nd was make high40/low50 yarder but victor cruz has had a strong and accurate leg all year

I think any one of those 3 would beat the very best teams from all the other conference's.. I think Georgia & Tennessee deserves the #1 & #2 spots but I think LSU & Alabama deserve the #3 & #4 spots because there better than the other lame conference champs 🤷🏻♂️ & Ole Miss deserves #5 because they came out and played hard against everyone this year and there underrated

One thing Alabama does is finish games. To beat them you have to match their ability to stay focused for the entirety of the game, which is attacking on offense and defense. Can’t not score and not make stops in the fourth play against the tide.

This is what I said at the start of the 4th quarter. We (Ole Miss) have to play all 4 quarters or we won't win. It was a hard fought game but it's tough to beat Bama. If Kiffin stays, I think we pull it off next year.

This is why Nick Saban is a great coach Ole misses strength is vs runners like Gibbs that go east and west cause they have a lot of speed on defense to track down and tackle him and they ran a out 3-4 and they spread out to force him up the middle which he doesn’t do very well but McClellan is a north and south runner with a good amount of power that ole miss struggled against cause they are very light on defense and don’t fill the gaps very well and they were running a formation that forces runners up the middle which is McClellans strength just shows why Saban is an amazing coach to pull a move like that with a star player like Gibbs 💯

I remember last year when Jameson Williams was wide open in the Natty but Bryce under threw him so badly he tore his ACL cutting back to catch it. Good quarterbacks don’t underthrow a 30 yard pass

don’t do ohio state like that they could beat 3 of those teams(COULD.. not would) at least they have an elite offense, a lot more fun than watching michigan that’s for sure. and i don’t think those teams are as bad as people think they are, i think the competition is evening itself out, there’s usually always like 3-4 teams that are so good that you watch them every weekend hoping they’re gonna lose, but this year the only team that seems better than everyone is georgia, otherwise seems like anyone can beat anyone this year. i think teams like north carolina or washington would surprise a lot of people🤷🏼♂️ and a lot of teams of the 2 loss power 5 teams have questionable defenses but their offenses that could make it a game with teams like bama. you just like the sec cause of the hype around it makes it seem like they’re nfl teams and that’s not a diss i do think theyre top heavy teams have some of the most intense games against each other, but i’d be delusional if i acted like tcu, oh st, usc, and washington didn’t have a good chance of beating an ole miss

If you look at Bama schedule...they had back-back SEC teams they were playing. And I don't remember Bama playing 2 SEC teams on the road. The last 4 games Bama played 3 were on the road. That's being battled tested. Tennessee L home game W LSU L Ole Miss W🤔

@@dariuswilliams3206 Nope. Like I said, they are coached to not call it dead, and to review it afterwards. Because that was an Alabama touchdown that they took away. Fortunately, Alabama was awarded the ball and they scored anyway, but that is not always the case, which is why they are coached to let it play out.

Win yes. OC and DC still need to be fired. Defense gave up 400+ yards and almost cost Bama the game yet again. And the image of Golding celebrating on that final play was amusing. When Bama had a good defense, it would have just been another 3 and out for Miss. Now we have to endure watching a team drive the entire field to win or lose on the final play. And it's really sad to watch Bama unable to run the ball for a TD inside the 10. What happened to the days of having two TEs and just do a beat down on the defense into the end zone. The offense is way to soft.

THE Alabama team is out of sync. Every game is a struggle. Look for multiple players to enter the transfer portal. I believe at least 10-15 players will transfer. There are too many receivers who are freshman or sophomores. Look for jones-bell, Leary, Preston and maybe one more receiver to leave. I believe Trey Sanders will play his last year elsewhere. At least two db"s will go as well as 2 ol and dl. Saban overrecruits and mark my words these players will go and not wait around for playing time.

If Ole Miss doesn't go for it twice on 4th down the game would have been tied late in the 4th. Ole Miss could have been in a position to win with a field goal. Instead they have to go for the TD and end up losing

Ole Miss went for it twice on 4th down, should've kicked the field goals, easy 6pts... that final drive would've been about getting in field goal range for the win instead of a touchdown... terrible play calling

I'm not sure if the coaching for Bama's D is subpar or the recruited players are at fault. But their D is definitely not the same scary "impenetrable wall".
