I’m an Alabama fan but LSU is a real threat this year. With Joe Burrow behind center LSU’s offense is putting up some scary numbers. This may be the best offense LSU has put together since Landry and Beckham back in the day. Not only that but their defense is elite (has a few problems that can be fixed) with a shut down secondary and good pass rush. This matchup between Alabama and LSU is gonna be good.

One loss is all it takes and all those teams listed are out of the conversation.. or at least SHOULD be. Obviously you have Alabama and Clemson bias.

Lol and they competed with tigers most of the game! Alabama has to go through the SEC the toughest conference by far to make the CFP regardless of records, just about every match up is competitive & physical, look at all of the tough SEC teams & most are rank top 10! Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan, GA, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, ALL have easier schedules! No one wants to play ALABAMA is the reason for that! Nick Saban addressed the question a few days ago!

Alabama has played their fair share of decent teams in the beginning of the season. They played Fla. St. a few years ago, plus UNC to name a few. LSU definitely has as well. Oregon, TCU, Miami(Fla), Arizona State, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Washington, along with Oregon State, Arizona, etc... And of course Texas.

Not really. All that matters at the end of the day is the end result. If they dropped 60+ on them and gave up only 14, I’d think the same thing I do now for LSU. Tired of hearing UCF brought up when the game isn’t even about them.

That's kinda how it goes when you switch to the spread, the defense doesn't get much time to rest between drives (especially with LSU scoring every 7-10 plays) so they suffer. Even Alabama's defense struggles at times when going up against a very good offense (ie. Ole Miss those couple of years, Clemson ect.). Hopefully we can learn to slow some drives down (preferably by Emery having a breakout game so we can develop a run game) and give our defense a break.
