Whelen WPS-4008 | Best Possible Protection Siren Test | McKinney, Tx 3/2/24

I was really excited for this test. McKinney tests on first Saturday, so no missing work to go! @pixelatednate4864 and I met up for this test and by unplanned coincidence, @thepineapplechannel2451 was there, too! We were worried they cancelled the test since it was nearly 5 minutes and no test. As you can probably tell, once Asher checked McKinney's Twitter, the test began and the Whelen jumpscare commenced lol. Snap crackle pop!

Haha yea. Gotta get a tripod. XD. Honestly it wasn't THAT loud. A 2810/2910 is probably louder. Still need to get a vortex or 4004

I have no idea why I was recommended this... But this is really cool! What are these siren systems used for, like natural disasters? We don't really have them commonly (at least here in Sydney Australia) so I'm genuinely interested! Great video, love the jump at the start hahaha 😅

Mostly for fires and really bad storms/tornadoes.

severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. at least those are the only times i have heard them

Primarily for tornadoes but also high winds and large hail, as well.

i live in mckinney, get to hear em every saturday. tho its really creepy when a actual tornado warning is issued. (which happend only 3 weeks ago)
