Her warm, caring demeanor - she’d always greet the kids every morning on her knees with open arms - made her seem like a family member to the parents of the children she watched. When she retired 35 families pitched in to give her a very special gift.

Very true, but we also need more appreciative ppl like all those that came together & did what they did. Too many times ppl act the "care/appreciate" role, but once they've got what they wanted...thats it, they're done wt ya.

Absolutely agree with you MAKEBA , so overdone on TV with celebs. No one cares anymore they are so over exposed and fake. Human kindness should be spread forth and our blessings shared amongst those most deserving and gracious, and most of all to fill a need and purpose. Celebs do not need more ego boosts and false idolitry. This was such a humble story. I love how she remarked on her bedroom being so calm. Like she had such a contrast before, you can see already the benefit to her life. That must be so fulfilling. Like a big hug. She gave her life's time so they could work in peace as parents, then they gave her peace for her journey ahead, remarkable circle of pure joy. I have rambled. But truly a lovely relatable story. This is my favorite episode of Houzz. It truly speaks from the heart, brought tears to my eyes. As a parent, to find a wonderful caregiver to children is heaven-sent. God bless Dina on this new chapter of her life.

I was deeply moved and I couldn’t help but cry watching this... What an amazing person and how wonderful of these people to give her such a gift back and the result was simply amazing... This is an incredible gesture. As a parent one of the worries I have to contend with even to this day is the safety of my child. To find a truly trustworthy and nurturing and loving carer is a real gem. God bless Dina and God bless the parents and families who pulled together to give her a gift she truly deserves. The only thing I am worried about is that step by the kitchen as she gets older it could be a challenge. But overall a beautiful Houzz transition.

The giving tree is a tradition in my family. Every child in the family gets his/ her very own copy. They keep them and don’t pass them own. Because every new baby gets their own😊. A loving daycare provider is a Godsend for working parents. So glad these parents did this to show how much they value her.

What a darling woman. I'm a mom and it's hard to be on with a couple kids at a time. It's a real gift to be able to take good care of the needs of lots of kids at once. You know you've done your job when they remember you throughout life. Have a good retirement, Dina. It's your time.
