@@june9914 No, He can literally just airwalk, if you fail his fight too many times, he gives up, and just... Leaves, unbothered by the lack of ground.

He doesn't want you to come back to fight HIM, he wants you stop fighting him and stop doing the Geno route (the latter of which, he warns you to stop proceeding on, in Snowdin), and to reset, he is not telling u to not reset. In the Japanese version/translation (which Toby helped work on) the lines where he dunks u are both different (he doesn't say get "dunked on"), but it is also made even more clear (imo) with the lines after that, that he wants you to reset. Sans does want you to reset and fix everything in this specific instance, and it is also something he hopes happens when u kills others, since you can fix things, and you have a responsibility to use your special power well (he mentions something in this vein multiple times), and/or at least expects to happen. (I am not saying Sans is fond of resets. He does not like everything he does or that could be done, being undone. Like getting to The Surface. But more so, he can and will use them to his advantage. And that his relationship with them are complicated. And/or etc.). He does want to make you quit/ragequit/give up too though. And to prevent The End. And/or etc. (Basically, Sans goals are very multi-faceted when it comes to his fight, and in general.).

To be fair the interpretation could also be "Don't come back and fight me." which would make sense too.

I think sans want you to reset and to let this world alone. What i mean by this is that to me, when you close the game, the world continue until you load or reset. When you're not playing, frisk is free to me

We don't really know this for sure about Flowey and his timelines. "Edit: Oh, and Sans using his dunk attack when you attack doesn't make much sense when you're not leaving an opening like you do with MERCY. The mercy ending is nice, though." I do think it is possible he could do that attack w/o what u are saying, but yeah, it should probably be done w/ openings and stuff in most cases. If the Mercy thing isn't used. Though, the first reply to ur comment, mentions an opening in a sense, so *shrug*. Rather that is acceptable enough or not, is up to you.

yeah true honestly i didnt think much about the level lol i didnt think to check if it was possible to reach level 18 in retrospect i probably should have done some research and changed it but i made this game in 15 days by myself so i didnt really have time to check if i wanted to get it out before the deadline

Well unfortunately Sans Is One of those character that get screwed over by the fandom like Goku being a bad father and only cares for eating and fighting and Koishi which gets treated like schizo

Flanderization is basically what ruins undertale if you ask me as it makes every character extremely one note. It's to the point where I noticed some people apply traits of other characters to, Sans just to make him seem cooler.

thats the logic i was thinking of in this game, flowey references sans a few times in the game and mentions how they fought which makes me think that sans knows who flowey is. i think in grillbys its a mix of trying to warn you and also trying to see if he can get any extra info about him from you/see if you know him

Also at the moment where sans asks you about a "talking flower" he seems to stop time around him, and the same happens in true pacifist when flowey says that you are an Idiot.

That's actually a better strategy than just doing an unfair fight, because not only does it have emotional substance rather than just pure hatred, but also the player wouldn't be angry at Sans after the reset. And Sans could forgive the player because unlike in the other universes where sans just kills everything in sight, and is letting his emotions get the best of him so he's just an angry ball of pure hatred, but unlike that, in this fangame, he actually keeps his cool and doesn't let himself become a being of pure hatred who wouldn't even care if the human would try a pacifist route, but instead he is fair and forgiving
