You have to have that pitch ready to go and get right into it. You might feel weird but those who you are pitching to understand what you are doing.

I have a movie/book idea that might be interesting but no connections like this guy. It's pretty simple and I can pitch it in under a minute. 5 Minutes would be too much as I think I would be complicating it.

You explain the idea under one minute (you can use that as a hook), but what about the plot, the characters, their desires and their obstacles? You gotta the sell the whole thing. An idea is a vague concept by itself
