Learnt SwiftUI first.. love it. Now I'm learning UIKit to eventually. I can feel this.. but also begin to love UIKit, but sometimes the steps to get to a simple solution are so tedious.

The sad truth is that if you want to go into the iOS job market, you'll have to know UIKit and that could last for years. Just like back in the day when ObjC was thee language for iOS, then Swift came out and you kinda had to know both at some point. At least now, you can get in without knowing ObjC, you might be limited, but you can still get in.

hi! so in uikit they have something called inspectable designable, is that used in jobs to create custom views? i learned uikit, then programmatically , then swiftui, any is ok. the real thing , in my opinion, is how to make the views do something you want.

Yup, I’ve used IBDesignable at work before. It is pretty nice.

I started my ios journey with SwiftUI. tried to learn UIkit and gave up on my second day. we have to run the simulator every time to check for every small change in code? or is there any alternative to that.

Technically there is a way to do a preview in UIKit but I don't thinks it's used very widely. Check out "Swift Arcade UIKit preview" on KZfaq and tell him I sent you👌
