The Somali Ajuraan empire was one of the most advanced empires in Africa and actually helped Kenya and the other Swahili coast from Portuguese rule.

This video is an interesting contrast from the last one, as it shows how the Abrahamic religions provided a lot of benefit for African civilizations in the form of allowing them to network with other civilizations of the same faith, resulting in shared knowledge and expanded trade opportunity.

Bahri Dynasty of Islam ruled from Egypt. Bahri means "Of The River" it was when Islam was ruled by the people of The Nile River prior to Circassian and Assyrians Revolts which led to its ending with the Bubonic Plague playing a major role in the fall of the empire and the rise of the Ottomans...
@ptolemeeselenion1542
@ptolemeeselenion1542 Жыл бұрын
The Bahri Dynasty was actually a mesh of local indigenous Egyptian and mostly Saharan, Nubian, Zanj/Azanian, Nilotic, Central Sudanian from Central Sahel and Western Sudanian (West African Sahelian) soldier-sl*ves, eunuchs and circonspect sl*ves wotu an even smaller minority of them being Circassians, Eastern European, Turkic or from Balkans-- so much so that Egyptian nativist nationalists doesn't even consider them an indigenous dynasty and claims that their people basically recovered their power lost in Egypt since the falls of Cleopatra and of Zenobia some 2,000 years ago with Nasser and Sadat. It was _hardly_ composed of autochtonous elements. As much claiming that the Lagid Dynasty of Egypt was indigenous because their last reigning ruler (Cleopatra VII) was officially recognized by both the Egyptian priesthood and the nationalists as one, thanks to her maternal heritage (her natural mother wasn't Ptolemy Auletes's wife-cousin Cleopatra VI, but his Thebean concubine and courtesan Ankha, who was a daughter or descendant of the indigenous "anti-king" of Thebaid "Paious" II, son of Harsiesi-- and a descendant of Nectanebo II. She equally was Arsinoe IV's natural mother) .

@@AT-gu8by they invaded it because they can, do you think because north africa is in africa, that means the Zulu empire for example has more right to it than the ottoman- in term of old expansion rules not modern sovereignties of course - because Zulu empire is in Africa, Africa is a geographical term, africa is not one country and Africans are not one nation, Europeans are all white they never claimed they are one nation or Europe is one country, anyway it was technically an annexation not colonisation.

@@TheAmrthe2nd They invaded it cause they can? That says a lot about you and them then!…Before the Berlin conference Africa was one land mass without borders and countries, the Turks invaded in the 16th century, it’s not their land. Btw Europeans have practiced white supremacy throughout the globe.The Turks colonized a land that’s not theirs.

@@AT-gu8by don’t judge history with todays norms. African kingdoms were conquering their neighbours. Just like Asians and Europeans were conquering. Turkiye is a lot closer to North Africa then west or South African are so don’t blame them for getting there first and being powerful enough to do it.
