I love how far the 2.5D progress is getting. Super impressive in such a short time.

Are there many filament changes? I only have a single system so would have to manually change colors?
@ygk3d Жыл бұрын
There is one less than the number of colours in the image, so 3 in this case. You could definitely do this using manual filament changes.

You don't need to pause layers with the AMS right?
@ygk3d5 ай бұрын
That's correct

Why dont you use prusa xl ? You eill have it printed 5 times faster without sny waste . 😊
@ygk3d8 ай бұрын
I didn’t have the XL when I made this. But my XL has 0.6 nozzles currently so I’d still print this on a Bambu with the 0.4 nozzle in order to print the smaller details better. There is minimal waste for this type of print.

Did you have to start each colour after a pause or did it auto run?
@ygk3d9 ай бұрын
I used the Bambu AMS for this so it was automatic.

That is an embossed image not a 3-D model. You can tell due to it only having one side. Lol
@ygk3d Жыл бұрын
It is a 3D model as in an STL file. The print itself is more like 2.5D. It has thickness which gives the illusion of depth but overall it’s flat. There are other programs that can actually take an image and turn it into a fully three dimensional model. I wasn’t trying to imply this was that. I probably should have used a different term to make it more clear.
