Anxiety deceives us into thinking that our analytical mind can resolve it, when in fact, this mindset perpetuates our anxiety. It convinces us that worry is essential for managing challenges, yet worry only keeps us in a low vibrational state, attracting more difficulties.
Anxiety tricks us into believing that constant vigilance against the unfamiliar will protect us, but this only heightens bodily tension and exacerbates anxiety symptoms. It makes us feel small, fragile, and vulnerable, masking our true limitless and resilient nature.
Ultimately, anxiety leads us to think there's no other way to live, but swift recovery is possible once we are willing to release our old patterns. "No amount of anxiety makes any difference to what’s going to happen in your or other people's lives."

@@barbarotanquero2115that’s a super common one.. same as any other anxiety or OCD scary feeling.. sit with it. Make peace with it. As hard and scary as it is, whatever it takes, sit with that and reframe it, make peace with the feeling and (personally), I tell myself “I’d rather die than feel this type of constant worry and anxiety that stops me from living my life, therefore I will just move forward even if it’s into unknowns”. (It doesn’t have to be that kind of a mantra, but you get the idea). Exposure helps a lot. Just saying F it.. and obviously therapy, any kind of exercise, writing, all helps. And prayer as well!

“You are not the thing that your lower self believes that you are” hits so deep. Honestly I used to have HORRIBLE anxiety in high school. Over a few months I lost 20+ pounds, had every symptom under the sun, had no friends, etc. I pushed past that and was able to overcome. Now I just moved, got sick, about to start a new job, and getting my period all at the same time and my body is in overdrive! I haven’t had anxiety this bad in a long time but your videos have been truly helping me! I don’t know what I want to do as a career but these videos make me consider going in to being a life coach or therapist! I think people find it helpful that people can relate and usually I feel like a pretty strong person, just when I’m anxious all the voices come in my head and it sucks. I feel like I have to parent that big black cloud inside of me. Telling it to stop. Sometimes it feels like there’s 3 sides to me when anxious. The big cloud of anxiety, little me who is being tormented by the anxiety, and then my higher self. I unlocked this through therapy when I used to go I believe. But, sometimes it feels like my higher self has to babysit my younger self and kinda drag it away from the anxiety. Like right now I’m about to go on a run because getting all the adrenaline out helps. But, I’m having to force myself to do so as I’m still sick. But, my first day of work is tomorrow so I really have to get going. Would also like to note I do get anxious still, just hasn’t been as bad as high school. I’m only 19 so it wasn’t that far away but I did lots of CBT therapy! But I woke up from a horrible dream last night and had new symptoms during my panic attack so it was truly truly scary. I was up from about 2-5 or 6. Which a good nights sleep typically isn’t what I get when super anxious sadly.

I have struggled with anxiety, panic, ocd, and depression that has been well managed for the last 10 years. Recently though, something tipped my scale and I am starting all over. Back with these crippling symptoms. I am desperately searching for relief and came across your content. I have to say, your approach makes me feel understood without any judgment. I have encountered therapists who were lacking in basic empathy, but I just felt a deep connection through a stranger's (your!) KZfaq video. These tips are not only practical, but they are also presented in a genuine manner, tone, and format. You have gained a new follower, and I am truly invested in your perspective and subject matter expertise. Thank you.

Thank you for your insight and help! I am also in the process of reading your book "The Essential Guide To Health Anxiety ". Very good book and I feel I'm learning a lot more about how the mind and body work, and most importantly it gives me hope that I can" heal" anxiety. I'm 61 years old and I've struggled, accepted, learned coping skills to help manage excess anxiety and problems it can create. My entire adult life has kind of went up and down with anxiety intensity. I believe some good things have come from it also. I was diagnosed with CLL ( a type of blood cancer) ten years ago but I'm doing pretty good with that and currently not under any treatment. Mild tolerable symptoms. I believe I often struggle most with physical symptoms or uncomfortable sensations, especially those related to stomach and eating. I sometimes struggle with this......Wondering what came first...... the symptom or the anxiety that elevated the intensity of the unpleasant sensations in my body? I have made numerous good changes to my diet, and more excersize, some yoga, and some meditation all which seem to be helping with my overall wellness. So often simply eating something or taking a walk or getting a little more mindful eases the situation. I'm now learning to just sit with the uncomfortable sensations and accept and believe my body is capable of taking care of its self. Too not spend too much time listening to "little me". I've certainly managed to get off the subject of the original video and start rambling....lol. . Thanks for the help, and best wishes to those out there struggling. I pray you find find the peace within!

That freaks me out in itself.
