@@thehangingfilms The thing is, it's not that he has any problematic powers in and of themselves, it's that his abilities remain consistently useful (with a certain amount of "trying harder") no matter what the scope of a given story is. That's not really a problem for any one given issue or storyline, but when you look at them all in conjunction with each other and do some math, it starts to paint a picture of someone who's a demigod without realizing it. I love the Archie comics (mostly...) but it's sorta like determining the power levels of Superman, but spread across any twenty-five year gap of time it can go to some wild places. And unlike Superman, Sonic only rebooted twice

Archie had the longest running uninterrupted streak of any major North American comic for a bit there, with the only exceptions being things like Detective Comics and Action Comics, but they had restarts and reboots so it feels weird to count those.

The same way you can go through and figure out which MK character is canonically stronger.
