Chaitanya Charan Das is a monk, spiritual mentor and author.
Building on his engineering degree from the Government College of Engineering, Pune, he has studied extensively the philosophical and sociological ramifications of modern science. Complementing his scientific education is his keen spiritual sensitivity honed by systematic and sympathetic study of the bhakti tradition for over two decades. He has been an invited speaker at several international conferences on the interface of science and spirituality, including the World Peace Conference 2006 and World Peace Congress 2008 organized by UNESCO. Based in India, he has given talks at colleges and companies all over the world from Australia to America. His writings appear regularly in several Indian newspapers including the reputed Speaking Tree column in The Times of India. Apart from 300 analytical articles (available at www.thespiritualscientist.com) and 4000 inspirational daily meditations on the Bhagavad-gita (available at www.gitadaily.com), he is the author of 25 books on a wide variety of subjects ranging from Science and spirituality, socio-cultural analysis of religion, and the ancient texts of India, especially the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavad-gita
He is a member of ISKCON’s leading intellectual body, the Shastric Advisory Council, which offers scriptural advice to the GBC (Governing Body Commissioner). He is an associate editor of Back to Godhead, ISKCON’s global magazine. His writings in English have been translated into several foreign languages including German, Chinese and Romanian and several Indian languages including Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Hindi and Marathi.

The fifth canto, cosmology, is perplexing because we haven't understood the third canto, sankhya. Can we understand how sound is in everything? Sound is in all elements. Earth has sound in it, what is sound, shabda? We have a lack of understanding of senses and material elements because we are trying to reconcile with our modern education.

Vedas are eternal, Vedas came from the breath of Maha Vishnu..Srila Vyasa divide the Vedas..Sirmad Bhagavatam came out from the Vedas.. Sirmad Bhagavtam is ripest fruits of all the Vedas...

Dandavat Pranam Prabhu🙏 Prabhu please I beg your pardon(Aparadh kshama kijiyega🙏🙏).. I have some substantial objections what you say( not only you but everyone who want to defend the authenticity of the bhagavatam) about bhagavatam cosmology explanation.. Now comimg to your logic.. Suppose i am reading a history book which does not say anything about any geography.. Now In a chapter there is written in that Chhatrapati Shivaji conquered Maharastra.. He made London his capital.. He also built Statue of liberty in Mayapur, west Bengal.. We should all respect this king shivaji.. Though this is not a geography book, will you accept this history book? Will you accept the argument that beacause this is not a geography book so we should not go to details that London, Statue of libertt is not in India.. We should focus on the fact that this book is to glorifying Shivaji...

Hare Krishna, Although I am not a representing prabhujis view here, but I'll try explaining from my POV, so here you are taking an example where you know what is factually correct and what is not, which is also coming from a book, and here HG Chaitanya Prabhuji's focus is not that the Bhagavatam is wrong, but rather we are not intelligent enough to understand it, so that is why we try to understand and make sense of it, and IN CASE we are not able to... we must understand that the essence is Krishna prem and nothing else.

Think critically. Don’t fall for nonsense, especially nonsensical excuses such as different dimensions etc. Sankara and Ramanuja never quoted from Bhagavatam.
