You should consider that both legs combined Barca should have already gotten 2 pens, Chelsea a red card (which would have also suspended Ballack and all of his scenes in the second leg irrelevant) and Eto was called offside when he was 1v1 with Cech even though he was onside, before the first Chelsea pen should have been given. It's almost sure that barca would've already had the lead until then with proper refereeing in general which would completly change the later game. Every single one of the wrong decisions would completly change the game. With other words there need to be plenty of wrong decisions against Barca, that the first of these wrong decisions can even happen and if one of them is given, every following situation doesn't happen. Then there are two more not given penalty situations for Chelsea, a ridiculous red card against Barca and then another three penalty situations aganist Chelsea. It's just that the english media (and obviously rival fans) pushed it up to be a onesided robbery even though the refereeing was an absolute disgreace for both sides... Do you remember that Chelsea advanced against Barca in 2005 because of a irregular final goal? (the ref himself even apologized) In 2006, there was a wrongly given penalty for Chelsea and a not given penalty for Barca. It was completly irrelevant for the reslut, but I just want to mention it for people that always only look at one side of the coin. I would say it's very likely that Barca would have advanced in 2005 with proper refereeing. Considering that Barca got completly f*cked over before Chesea got completly f*cked over and that Barca was more dominant over all, I'd say it would've been more likely in 2009 too.

Yeah but at that moment it was literally all Barca playing in Chelsea's half, so while it wasn't technically the winner it felt like it because it relieved all the pressure and sealed the tie.

This Chelsea team would bend over Barcelona and spank them. I pray we draw you guys this coming UCL. I don’t think the board of any other club has made anywhere near as many horrible decisions as Barcelona’s.

@@alahiri2002 I know we have a tough season tho but now things have changed koeman is the new manager and I can already see how good he's gonna be........whatever I don't think we will lose to Chelsea whatsoever anytime soon anyways u guys had beaten us in a club friendly 2-1

CrunchWorks Yeah, but that was a friendly. We’ll see about Koeman, but Lampard has made a statement of intent. Until you guys start signing top youngsters like Madrid are doing, you don’t stand a chance in the long run.

@@alahiri2002 anyways I don't think even if Chelsea draws barca we will lose surely I think Barcelona will win like 3-1 I don't see Chelsea getting a chance and I think ziyech and timo will not fit the style of play and will become flopsters #BarcelonaTreble #KoemanIn

CrunchWorks That last bit gave me a nice laugh. Ziyech’s passing ability is perfectly suited for fast players on the left side of the pitch, particularly Pulisic and Werner. Havertz is Havertz. I don’t think I need to say much more than that. But since they’ll become “flopsters,” let us allow time to do the talking, shall we?
