Quality information this and very fair, i’ve been around construction for 16 years now, Simple fact is i leave electrics to a spark, water and gas to a plumber and aspects plastering/boarding to the pros, at home when renovating yes i save money where you can but leave any aspect of something your unsure of to a professional. Finishing trades the results are evident so don’t scrimp!

Haha happens all the time mate."How much if we prep it", then anywhere that's a bit of a bugger,just gets left. When you point it out,it's, " I didn't think that would be a problem".Best way is,"If you want to do the prep,give us a shout when it's done,then i'll price it up".

Good video Sam. What exactly is bridging? Is it where the plaster is touching the floor so it will soak up moisture?

The problem with that is we have programmed booked in straight after and we can’t afford to be held. It’s in our Ts n Cs that if it’s not prepped correctly and there are hold ups there will be penalties. We had the same yesterday but by the builder of the client. Took 4 chimney breasts out and lefts tons of bricks sticking out, vid to follow. Someone has to pay for our extra time.

@dampsam

I don’t really understand the question but the damp check rods work on rising damp and the replastering system is a waterproof render. You need to know what type of damp issue your treating and use the correct system accordingly. Don’t guess and think it might work.
