I had originally fixed this Pitless Adapter Well Head about 2 years ago. It seems like the owner dug down & tied into my repaired water line. If he wanted water access at the well head he should have just allowed me to put the system on the traditional well seal while I had it all exposed. This Video is the result of DIY repairs done with minimal plumbing knowledge.
There's dozens of Helpful Plumbing Videos on my Well Pump Q&A Playlist, So go check it out!

That there is a PROFESSIONAL grade Revere copper clad sauce pan. Speaking about a pot calling the kettle black, seems to me that fix was about on par with the DIY job.

So when you evaluate a site for drilling, you check with surrounding properties to see how deep their wells are before you start. So you have an estimate of depth. When do you decide what pump to use? After you actually drill and decide how many gallons per minute you actually get?

If the water carries a voltage it will not matter if you stick your finger or you whole hand in the water, it makes no difference. If the voltage is high enough it will kill you. Me as an electrical engineer I would always turn power off first. If I can't turn it off the I won't touch it. Just saying, your decision.
@lukasandrysik3666
@lukasandrysik3666 Ай бұрын
I am EE aswell. Finger = small surface area ->lower current flow. Also if you just flick the finger on live circuit it will just briefly shock you. Problem is when you can't let go of some cable due to the electricity closing your muscles. Also 120V relative to ground in USA is quite safe.
@integr8er66
@integr8er66 Ай бұрын
Do you understand that a well is inherently grounded? You won't get electrocuted
@tomgroenbeck7620
@tomgroenbeck7620 Ай бұрын
@@integr8er66 This statement isn't true. Otherwise fishing with electricity couldn't work. Or did you hear of a hear dryer falling into the bathtub? The voltage in the water depends on the resistance of the materials involved. Voltages are proportional to the respective resistors. And remember, there isn't such a thing like zero Ohms, even copper has a small resistance, and "ground" (the actual earth) has much more. So while 120V is safer than 240V, it should not be trusted.
Ай бұрын
If you are an electrical engineer, you should know that resistance decreases with contact surface increase. More skin in water = less ohms between skin and water = more current.
@integr8er66
@integr8er66 20 күн бұрын
@@tomgroenbeck7620 The statement is true, first off I didn't say just being in water makes it grounded, being in contact with earth makes it grounded, we run extension cords connectors and all for ice eaters when duck hunting, stand in the same water right next to the cords, no problem. Voltage is definitely not proportional to resistance, voltage is a function of the source., and resistance of pure water is > 18 meg ohms. however add minerals such as with a well and it goes WAYYYYY down.

Just don’t do work like that unless you can get the homeowner to sign a contract which states in no uncertain terms that they are acknowledging that they are an absolute dumbass and you take no credit for the work as installed and will not warranty said work. When homeowners ask you, a skilled tradesman w pride in his work and skill, to cut corners so they can save a buck do the right thing and tell em to kick rocks. If everyone would stop acting like it’s your problem if the homeowner decides to hire a crack hear to do their job instead of a qualified person we’d all be better off
