I tell you what happens when makeup expires: think bacteria growth, which means skin irritation, acne/breakouts, eye/skin infections, & product separation/breakdown/ineffectiveness. I tell you the easiest way to find out when your makeup expires by showing you a life-changing trick about finding a secret code on your physical product. I also talk to you about how to sanitize your makeup, what makeup products can be sanitized, & I answer the question everyone wants to know: is it safe to share makeup? I like to go through my makeup every 6 months to throw away anything expired & sanitize the rest. I went from the phaze of throwing away so called expired makeup, then seeing influencers use 3-4-5 years old makeup made me rethink this option - so makeup actually never expires :D the powder ones at least :) liquids are a whole different story ...

I’ve not worn make up in over a year and bought it 2 year ago nearly.. not massively into it I am more of the basic natural look but with the U.K. coming out of lockdown hopefully for the last time 😩I’m wanting to look abit more ‘Nice’🤣 I’ll have to look into all the fair few products I have. But yeah maybe it’s better if I just start over again and treat myself a little. Worse thing is breakouts from wearing make up too!! I usually have them but that’s probably bc I wear it 5x a year max. Thanks for the video 🙂🙂

I am a person that takes note of when I open a product plus I sanitize my makeup with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol. I also watch out for change in formula and smell.

I just threw my whole box of make up that I’ve had for 5 years >.< I CANNOT believe that I even let this happen. I’ve gotten styes after applying my mascara and now I know the cause. (Since I always get it after removing the old makeup I put on that day)

I just happened to buy a ton of products to my bad luck right before the pandemic.. the products was not even opened but it's expire date is around the corner .. should I use them ? mascaras- lipsticks and skin care products

I don’t use makeup that much and I just keep using it, I keep my face clean. I keep my products clean. I don’t have time to waste money by just throwing stuff away that I barely use. It’s disgusting to share makeup!!!!!

after 2 years the formula begins to differ for me. But if it hasn’t changed in texture or anything you still run the risk of bacteria.

I barley learned makeup had an expiration date like last year. I would always just toss things as I noticed they weren’t working as well. Fun fact - perfumes and body sprays also expire! Something about their chemical compositions. Crazy! But it makes sense of course.

Hahaha yes!!! I didn't care about makeup expiration dates for wayyy too long 🙈 & yes I used to have this Britney Spears perfume that I loved so much, & one day I realized that mold was growing inside it & I had been spraying that on my body everyday 😝🤣

expiration date is arbitrary.... there's no actual evidence on the expiration date... only number printed on the product... for selling only to increase sells
