Being a teenager means dealing with lots of new stuff - like figuring out friendships, finding your
own way, and standing up for yourself. But amidst this journey of self-discovery, conflicts can
arise, especially when teenagers clash with authority figures like law enforcement. Here are the

What parents. I guarantee these kids are adopted, in dcs custody, or being raised by grandparents. These kids are damaged. 31:07 This cop could have taught this idiot a lesson but instead he let his ego get the best of him and ended up being worse than the KID. You are an adult and should act as the professional you took the oath to be. No different than a teacher or doctor acting the same way. He is engaging in the same way the kid is. He has the same mentality as the idiot teen. I mean he literally threatened to turn off his camera and kept calling him son. All on video. What a moron.

Not only the parenting, dyfys and cps tell us h9w to praise our kids. That 12 year old needs a major iver the knee classic spanking. I don't feel a few good gallops on the butt is abuse. Punching your kids 9r hitting them with belts ,switches etc leave bruis3 a marks and sometimes broken vessels. How ever an old fashioned spwnkimg 8 feel has never really hurt a kid. I had my but spanked a few times when I was a kid. And you know what I didn't lie, and I never used q curse word in front of my parents or other adults again. Plus i just didn't do stupid shit. Like hang out in an intersection full of traffic. I was als9 taught and learned common sense. I also respect the police and military. I was a military brat when I was a baby. Npt that means much as I was a baby .my daddy was a marine and ran a very tight house hold. Gid forbid I got I to trouble or said no to my mom or wait a min. These words I feared, wait until your father gets home. I had a healthy fear of my parents and god. I still didn't use really bad words I front of my parents as an adult damn bitch ass and shit I did on occasion. N3v3r the f word or the c word a hole I used.. this is the problem children do not have fear of the parents. B3caue our country has made it so hard to contoll our young. Parents fear cps or dyfys depending on what state you live in. The l3gal kidnapping of 9ur children gives these teens an out. The probl3m is most of these brat know right from wrong and we the par3nts are stuck pay8mg for their stupidity in the end too. It's not right. If your big enough to spit on any one let alone an officer then you can deal with the consequences. Most of these kids just need an old fashioned spanking in front of their friends. Make it clear you can b9t act like an asshooe and cause all kinds of trouble for other or cause damage t9 other belongings or hurt people.

I don't think kids were different in my country, Italy, back in the 70s-80s. I's born in '62 and never got beaten by my parents, but they knew that their authority was enough to stick within me the respect I had to learn. Woe to me if I used an inappropriate language! Same if I didn't respect my teachers, my neighbors, and even my friends!!! Cursing, spitting, yelling... I never did things as such. And my friends neither: I know it may sound untrue, but it was like we knew that we had to behave politely. As for police: It would not have occurred to us even remotely to disrespect those who represent law or authority! Well, here you are not allowed in calling names to a cop: on the contrary, cops enjoy a great tolerance from people if they slap the face of someone who disrespect them with offensive words. Its a pity having to cut this topic: it deserves more attention and talking.

Uh the last clip the cop escalated it and got his ass fired and another lawsuit at taxpayers expense. The former cop belongs in prison, he is a danger to society. The fact you are trying to defend the cop for his assault on a minor is sick. Respect is earned, it is not granted just because they have a uniform on.

He doesn't belong in prison until convicted of a crime where imprisonment is the penalty. People aren't locked up simply due to someone feeling they should be. He clearly had inadequate self-control to be a police officer and lost his job accordingly. As such, society was protected to at least that degree.
@kevinarnold8634
@kevinarnold8634 Ай бұрын
@@juliegruener1533 Sometimes teens do that. That doesn't grant license to a police officer to mimic their immaturity in conduct. He is supposed to be professional in the course of performing his duties. That was beyond his capacity in this instance so he can't be relied upon to maintain his self-control, making him not suited for the job.

@@kevinarnold8634 It has nothing to do with "feeling". It has everything to do with the law and the consequences of breaking the law. If a citizen had done the same they would have been arrested, charged and sentenced. He got away with it because he was a cop.

I think the biggest social problem we have these days is that people try to use legal information they got by watching Law & Order on TV. Court & cop dramas are not accurate sources of legal information, especially when you consider that even if there's something even marginally accurate, you can't take information about New York police procedures and try to apply it to LA, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Houston, or some other city. The jurisdictions are all different. Police may have a policy to do things one way in Phoenix, but totally differently in Miami. I've seen a dozen videos today asserting that "you have to read me my rights before I'm under arrest!" No, they don't. They have to read you the Miranda rights _if they are interrogating you._ Of it isn't an interrogation, they don't have to tell you anything. No, not even why you're being arrested. You will be told during booking. The cop can tell you if they feel like it. Cops can't negotiate you being arrested or freed. If they're arresting you, they're arresting you. If you want to discuss the finer parts of your pet legal theory, talk to the judge. Especially any "Sovereign Citizen" crap. Save it. Cops can lay hands on you. They can tackle you if necessary. They can pin you to the ground and cuff you. Even if it's a female suspect and a male cop. A male can't do anything that might be considered groping a female, so for _searches,_ they call in a female officer _if one is available._ But the one i find utterly maddening is when they demand to know what they're charged with, the cop tells them, and it's like the suspect has the mute control on. The cop could be reading the phone book for all the idiot actually hears. It makes me want to smack the idiot, but then it's the same sort of situation as the last clip in this video. Oh, and just to make it clear, when a cop says you are _detained,_ you are not free to go but have not been arrested yet. The cop is investigating the situation to figure out if there's anything they can arrest you for, which means they have not yet determined if you have committed a crime. Just because they can't tell you a charge when you've only been detained does not mean there's no crime, nor does it mean they have to let you go. What they have is _reasonable articulable suspicion_ that s crime may have been committed. This allows them to put you in cuffs and stash you in their car while they sort out the details. If they can't find an actual crime, or if you were not the aggressor, they will probably take the cuffs off and tell to you have a nice day. If they find something to arrest you for, they will make it abundantly clear that your status has changed from detainee to arrestee. Pissing them off is unlikely to get you anything you want. Running off at the mouth, swearing and threatening, might well make things substantially worse.

I can tell you watch a far bit of bodycam footage, as have I and came to the same conclusions you have. The reading the rights one really gets me. Did you see the one with the yelling" you read my rights after" you read my rights after" she was so convinced she was gonna get the whole case dropped cause the arrested her then read her right, yet it was cause they didn't need to ask her anything, they knew she had the charge then they wanted to question her on other issues which then her rights come in. Every American( and Canadian,if not more so here since I know more about American law then I do my own Country lol) should have to take a Basic Law 101 Class.
