That is some grade A bullspit. I got a DUI over a decade ago because I was a dumb (20yro) kid and drove after taking some Rx medication. I went to a handful of court appearances over the course of 2 years and never once saw the state trooper who arrested me. Considering they have the body and dash cam footage, it didn't make much difference.

I'm a gay Aussie guy and I mention that because I have 2 very close gay male cops as friends. I'm the kinda guy that if I get pulled into a breath test queue and it's a hot day, I'll ask the officer if they'd like to sit in my car because we have Meth Coke and Exstasy tests as well as alcohol and it can take up to 15 minutes till the results come in and it's hot work. One female cop said that she wasn't "really" allowed to but I got out and I said "if you don't get into my car, I"ll give you such a pinch"......lol. She said "your game" and I said"yeah and I have a corpse in the boot/trunk"...lol It is not worth it to drive pissed. For a taxi fare of 100 bucks return, you avoid thousands of dollars in fines and you don't lose your licence and you enjoy your night out. These people are sad! Cheers Andrew from OZ

It’s a rather embarrassing to have to explain why my shirt is wet in two very specific spots. Interesting how the body just responds. But then they do something completely out of character and shocking. I had a whole lifetimes worth of reasons to believe my own mother would never steal (in general, but especially from me) and that she’d never allow any unsafe behavior around my children. But that didn’t stop both things from happening. I’m no contact with her now and haven’t been for years, but I was honestly shocked when she did those things. I never saw it coming and there were no smaller signs that led up to those things.

But the entire/whole dismissal of the case due to logistic reasons is against the basic principle of justice. Why not postpone the case.
