Fucking hilarious. “You have to support us because we’re women!!”...no we don’t, we support the best person for the job. And that might not be the woman. Get over it. The steel foundry in my old home town was the subject of a campaign by local screeching feminists because there were literally no women working there on the factory floor. They forced the company to lower the strength and physical tests, and when they did, shortly after they advertised for job vacancies on the foundry floor. The adverts loudly proclaimed that women applicants were most welcome. Not one woman in town applied. At all. Nobody. Just men applied. It was another case of feminists thinking women should want to do “mans work” without asking women if they even DESIRE to do those jobs in the first place.

These ladies forget, construction, in addition to being dangerous (injury, heat/cold exposure, etc) is a VERY unstable job work wise. Even before the virus you could expect long and repeated stretches where your entire crew gets furloughed because no contracts are coming through, especially when the economy takes a downturn and nobody has any money TO build anything. Furthermore, the real money is in Heavy Equipment Operation, the poor slob standing in the blistering sun or freezing rain holding that Slow/Stop sign? Ain't pulling down jack. This is why women avoid construction (unless you're talking front office personnel such as HR)

Not construction related , but i worked many years as a cook. Guess who lifted the 40 kilos of flour, rice , meat , veggies and shit else to the frezzer that was 3 stories above the kitchen? We were 10 in the kitchen. 6 females , 4 males. Always , and i mean always , the hard job was done by men. You may say this is unfair , but we as humans have the cognitive ability to rationalize weight/carry ratio. I knew that i could lift almost 300 kilos of stuff each day without breaking my knees. I even tought of it as heavy lifting training. The moral of the story is don't try to do a job you ain't fitted for. Not because of what other people may say , but for what you are actually able to do. I understand the social construct of Women : Weak , which can be refuted easily if that certain individual we are talking about trains and has a good diet, but the common denominator goes like that. You can't change that unless you are committed. Now tell me , what woman in the world is going to train herself JUST to work at a construction site... a 100? 1000? The problem lies elsewhere...

I've seen many try and it wasn't about the physicalities when they quit, but it was about the stinky, sweaty clothes filled with sawdust and grime, sunburned necks and arms, and just plain sore bodies from actually working hard all day. Most women would rather be a bartender or a stripper or a secretary because of that specifically and more power to them for doing those better. That's the difference between us. Girls like pink and fluffy, real men do not. Which proves the point again. You don't see gay guys on a construction site unless they're picking out wallpaper so that throws the "physical" thing out the window. It's all mental.

These two women, like many other women aren’t feminists. They think they are but they’re not. Feminism is not misandry, that’s the common mistake. Putting women in to traditionally male roles isn’t feminism, this is a fallacy. Real feminism recognises the differences between men and women and their strengths and weaknesses. It’s pragmatic and realistic. These women are not feminists they’re man haters.
@SomeUserNameBlahBlah
@SomeUserNameBlahBlah 3 жыл бұрын
No one has ever heard of that definition of feminism. Feminism from it's roots has always had the goal of obtaining for women what men have. I.e. the right to vote without requiring the draft, hiring quotas without the need to perform well. Feminism also pushed women into hyper promiscuity with the mantra "men do it too", again to obtain something they think all men have (but in reality don't). This whole movement's goal is to usurp men so women can be the superior while avoiding accountability, and ironically screaming "equality."

We were on a 16 hour concrete pour and 1.5 hours in she whinged and whined and begged for a lift home saying she was 'sick'. Then she whinged because she realised she wouldn't be getting paid as much as qualified tradesmen who've been doing it half their lives. Women, you don't belong on building sites(unless as non-construction personnel in the site office) Some things are best left to the men. If I was an even moderately attractive woman, I'd be on onlyfans, working a clerical position or doing something where I can avoid injury/stress. Plenty of men don't want to do construction and I'm one of them. Warehouse work and driving a forklift are easier but if push came to shove I'd give it a go if I had NO other options. People wreck their bodies doing manual labor and many people walk off the job the first day or week. If I see a woman on a construction site and she's working, I make the assumption she had to overcome a lot of skepticism and proved herself capable. Just like affirmative action, if you introduce some mandatory diversity hire, it implies the people hired on weren't hired for their skills/ability. If either of these women looked like they worked a construction site and weren't hyperventilating from prolonged talking, maybe this proposal could be taken seriously.

I work at a andscaping company, a lot of physical labour. Many of the team are older men (50s+) and most have injuries etc. Very rarely we have women even apply for available positions and when we get one on site we treat them with fairness & respect but we also expect them to do the job they are hired to do. All to often they can't or more often won't do the work, especially heavy labour so you can guess the older guys in their 50s end up doing the work of someone much younger than them. You can imagine how that goes down.
