Dear "DEARS". I have been listening to DIMASH for 3 years. Whatever he sings or does in music is DIVINE for me and I feel deep respect for him. But we are different. Sometimes we can have different point of views and feels for certain things, like this song. But I believe this world can handle people with different opinions as long as they can be respectful for each other. Thank you for reading it and have a beautiful day! ✌❤

Dear Orsolya, over the years I've been crying with you in other reactions and know about your love for Dimash, and how sensitive you are. It's such a gift to feel deeply. Not all themes and vibes will comfort us. You are just honest. I sincerely want to thank you bc I learned something due to your reaction and this discussion about elite or lower/higher valued categories - not only in music but all art forms. It puts restrictions on us. As an artist myself, I know that some themes and methods are considered to be more valuable, and now I see that it had an effect on me, unconsciously. Dimash is free from these prejudices. He values and enjoys all aspects and genres of music without any restrictions or judgment, but with freedom and playfulness. And I honestly think that it contributes to him being limitless in his vocal expression. His only measurement is quality. I do believe he could not be a better role model, to not restrain yourself in your creative expression and set oneself free from any kind of expectations. Thank you for the discussion! It's important. Have a wonderful weekend

Dimash might think about segmenting his concerts into the different genres to satisfy the strong preferences of his diverse and growing audience. As his catalog grows he will have plenty of each to do that. I remember when he said he knew he was choosing a much more difficult path by mixing so many styles. We just need to hang in there with him and see how he handles his situation. If you want to talk about the US primarily, he' got some difficult decisions to make about how best to go about it. I believe he'll get there if he's willing to do what is demanded. However, I would count it a "win" for him if he refuses and remains true to himself no matter what. But being as creative as he is he just might find that magic formula and both remain true and penetrate the US markets too. I talk too much. Probably why NO ONE likes any of my posts anymore. But I don't care. I love Dimash and I'm as independent as he is. So, I am here for him.💖🙏

Yes I do hear you. I suspect this gorgeous production may be aimed at reaching a more commercial mainstream audience in the States. Obviously what we hear on the radio is unsophisticated and barely tolerable, so he has to lower certain standards to seduce them. And SEDUCE he DOES in this MV. I’m 80 yrs old now but can see the powerful sensuality of it. THE SINGING IS FLAWLESS & compelling; his singing & very presence are perfection. Are actually BLESSINGS. So I say he is reaching out for a larger but less enlightened audience. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt, he deserves it. And then he will lift them later to his heights!!

For me, this was outrageously shocking and funny at the same time, making us sit on the edge of our seats wondering WHAT is going on, and making us use our imaginations to guess! His creative genius pulled us in and we all jumped at the end, and wondering if it was all just the young journalists dream and fantasy? It was a little MJ, a little blues/rock/gospel for a very different genre for him to conquer and of which I absolutely love the song. Reactors that love cinematography were blown away by the epic quality of the movie video, and his acting gave him a chance to get out of his normally pure angelic beingness! But, see, we all have our own first impressions, and I appreciate yours that this wasn't the typical Dimash at all! I see this as a way to create more fans and attract more attention which I hope he gains the worldwide recognition he deserves!

The great thing about Dimash is that he doesn't limit himself to one genre of music, he's open to exploring most styles and is masterful at whatever he does. He composed the music for this song whilst Candice Kelly wrote the lyrics. The co-producer on the video said that Dimash wanted to explore a fusion of blues, jazz, rock, and R&B which I think he did brilliantly with this song. It's catchy, it has a great melody, it is the one song I've heard that may actually bring his music to the masses and that's because it is yes, commercial, but an outstanding song vocally, instrumentally and technically and bringing Dimash's music to the masses is the best thing that could happen to music in this era.

Me too. I love blues and rock. I was delighted to hear this new offering. I also do not understand the people who complain about Dimash singing in English. And those people know that singing in English will bring him greater recognition, so why complain about that? It makes no sense to me. I prefer to hear Dimash sing in English because it is my language. It increases the enjoyment for me. But I would never complain about him singing in any other language. I love ALL of his songs, regardless the language it is performed in. So why the hate?

I don’t think it is HATE to have a different opinion. English is my Mother tongue, but I LOVE when Dimash sings in Kazakh or Russian. Those are his known languages.I speak Spanish, and he does ok in Spanish, but again, it is not as personal and intimate as his own language. I think Dimash is very appreciative when we may have an opinion that does not praise him ALL the time. Dimash said that he does not watch REACTORS all the time, because he does not want to get a big head from being PRAISED ALL THE TIME. Dimash is always GROWING and MASTERING his craft. I think Dimash would appreciate what Rocky has to say. Rocky is very aware of the level of mastery that Dimash has achieved. When I first heard this song, I felt it was not to Dimash’s incredible level of expertise. Yes, I love this type of music myself, and this piece is very marketable, but I see Dimash on a totally different LEVEL .😊 Dimash touches my soul, and his CHARACTER is OUTSTANDING, so I, (and Rocky) are just trying to express out HONEST appraisal and appreciation of the ESSENCE of this man. NO HATE is in this reaction or opinion.

This song refers to his life, he has never wanted to talk about his intimacy and a journalist is going to interview him, she invents this character, Dimash wants to imply that each person speaks without knowing what the other person's situation and life is like, In reality, everything is in the journalist's mind and at the end the newspaper mentions the interview with Dimash Quidaibergen that an unknown journalist did. We must also pay attention to the lyrics of the song, Dimash never does easy things, here He mixed several musical genres and made it sound good, he is a good musician, screenwriter, producer and singer and a very good person, I don't know what more you could ask for. It's a shame that many people don't take all this into account 🙂

I enjoy what he does regardless of the "type" of song it is. He shouldn't have to be put in a box and only do what is expected, because he can. Good for him.

I think I may understand where you are coming from. Dimash is on the elite side of music, if not regal, in my opinion, such that we expect him to produce music that is only at par with his status, with his genius. But I believe he has a bigger cause that is achieved through his music that is why he is explores anything possible as long as this within his personal standards and morals. For instance, he wants to promote his country, he wants to promote peace and his main tool is his music. He will not be able to reach the multitude of audience if he does not innovate and adapt to the trends of the time. And I see no harm at all in his choice to be inclusive and not exclusively accessible to only a few. Because of him, I opened my ears to opera and that in itself is peace - no hating or disrespecting something that doesn't suit my preferences. Like they say, he can just sing a phone book and that will still sound majestic. Thank you for your honest reaction.

my 2 cents, as you said, Dimash is the best voice in the world but not one of the most popular or appreciated singers globally. IMO he could have been a much well-known global singer (indeed he is quite famous though but yet not the status he should have) if he'd chosen to go a bit further to the global pop music path especially including the US market (it has been and will still be the biggest of all music markets). as a matter of fact a few years ago he had a quite bad experience with the US music market when he tried it a little bit by going on a TV show. it didn't end well. anyway. I think this song is such a bop and has actually potential to be welcome to play on the radio in the US if it ever gets promoted there. I really love this song and still insist that Dimash is the best voice in the world even though ...

I don’t think it’s the song that is not emotional enough. ❤ Maybe the video contradicts the emotion of the song a little bit, but it’s so awesome and beautiful, that I really don’t care! It makes me feel emotional as well. Just different emotions. 🥰 Also: There were so many wonderful and interesting sounds mixed in this song and video - from the opera to the rain to the electric guitar and the drum patterns and piano and other sound effects. Then the many melismas that Dimash weaved in. The melody was repeated, but the other sounds changed all the time and kept this interesting. This was pure art! ❤ This song is the gateway to Dimash for people, who feel overwhelmed by his music. I know people that normally don’t like his songs, but like this one.

👉 ...And again Dimash surprises us. I love his versatility and the moment in the video where he smiles cheekily at us, his Dears, as if to say, 'Look and scream and rage.' I'm going to seduce this pretty blonde now... because I can! ' In the Dimash News it is written: On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye. The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story. “Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director. Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist. The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame. The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon. “Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. We wanted the song to sound groovy, cinematic, epic, and bold. No holding back!,” shared Dmytro Gordon. (Dimash News)

Yes, this is a lower category for Dimash, but it's close to mainstream songs... I dont say Dimash need to be mainstream; but humanity needs to know Dimash, for those who only listen to mainstream music (with 90% junk sounds); they can have a soft introduction to real good music.. the same thing for other Dimash sons (be with me; MJ like songs ). It's realy annoying when you type DImash name on google and find nothing but youtbe entries and soeme kazakh articles; but when you type any name of a signer with one known song; you get hundred , or thousends of results !!!

Boring? Easy? OMG, sorry completely disagree, he’s mixing genres, he’s doing something that nobody has been able to do, how can that be boring or easy…BTW, this is not a very emotional song so it can’t have the type of connection that you’re referring too but look at his acting and his movements, so good! amazing! He’s so skilled and talented that it will be impossible for him to just sing the same type of songs all the time…love it!! well done Dimash!!

Absolutely stunning production. Music, vocal, cinematography, everything so rich. The riffs are nuts, only Dimash could have pulled them. Every shot is a treasure, so classy, vintage. I love him going blues. The guitar solo is to die for. Listened, watched dozens of times, the best. And I love this cutest vampire, think MJ would have been smiling too.

Please don’t put him in a box, some people get use to what they prefer him to sing ,but it’s all relative. He needs to grow and show his talent to different types of audiences and not limit himself . Quite franking that’s all we have out there is a carbon copy of everyone else .Dimash is diverse in his music whether he sings in English or any other language. He doesn’t always have to sing those ballads that bring you to tears. It’s all personal preference. I for one LOVE all sides of his singing.

Thank you for your honesty! It is refreshing to hear your wise interpretation of the song. I felt that he may have been talking about the loneliness he feels. It is so true, that amazing musicians must sacrifice a great deal, and life can be very isolating. As you said, Dimash brings technique and amazing vocals, but I feel that Dimash is so much more than what this song is. It is very marketable, and more people may be able to appreciate this theme. So if this song presents Dimash to a wider audience, I wish him limitless success. I just want you to know that I agree with you, with my UTMOST RESPECT to the incomparable Dimash!

Well I love the song. I think it is more “mainstream “ because more people in the whole world like blues/rock/ pop than just Igor Krutoy’s compositions. I m not saying it to diminish the talent and musical intelligence of the wonderful maestro. Dimash composed a really good piece to my mind, with so many layers and subtleties. It is both entertaining and rich . The harmonizations, the guitar etc.. Reminds me of Queen in a way. I hope this will open new gates to Dimash. He is genius and I’m starting to be in awe of his musical genius as much as his vocal abilities and tones. If you want a simple song, take The Week End , performed in Turkey.. that one is really not up to his abilities 🤣 still fun though.. because it is Dimashe’s voice

I agree....he's beneath this type of song. But I think this is for fun and a tease. Ala MJ Zombie in Thriller. Many younger listeners aren't cultured in higher music and I think Dimash tries to connect with them in one vein to expose them to others. Vampires are a bit dark for Dimash. And I agree....his recent song have been quite lite in comparison to what Krutoy or others of higher note might write. However, I think it's interesting to watch him experiment. One has to admit to the sexy vibes here. Dimash is beyond handsome. This type thing is a treat. He just sang with Placido Domingo for crying out loud. He loves it all and I think there is room in his basket for much more. Something substantial and masterpiece level is anxiously waited for. It's up to the young man doing the singing. He's in hiss prime. He wants to be sexy. It's ok. Dears doth protest not at all. Dimash is a good vampire. His love is true. But like the Phantom....there is a hint of evil. You know you should stay away...but can't. Let's face it....he could sing Mary Had a Little Lamb and you turnl into a puddle from one glance of his smoldering eyes. There is the serious singer...and the playful singer. The passionate singer and the sweet singer. Dimash brings us a cornucopia of wonderful choices. Who else offers such variety? Each with genuine conviction? I too pulled back at first hating the whole dark thing....then after listening more times with other reactors....it grew on me and I relaxed and just enjoyed it for what it was. A sexy and fun fantasy. Can't eat gourmet every meal, aye? Dimash just need quality material that's new. Not rehashed of the old. Know any good writers for him? Wonder what Placido and Hauser think of this? Do they support his adventurous endeavors or think he should just stay in his lane.

Yes, of course everyone has their own preferences. I'm not sure though that we need to search for any D & M { Deep & Meaningful} 'messages' in this work. Not everything he does has to have some profound or humanitarian theme. Dimash is playing and experimenting and pivoting ( some pieces -not all ) to a more Western 'ear', which let's face it, is used to more formulaic, and simple structures. I think he ticked all the boxes; blending various familiar pop-culture themes and genres, whilst still 'wowing' us with his familiar complex runs and that one solitary whistle note! His English accent is a perfect seductively exotic { to 'Western' ears!} complement to his 'Count Dracula Dimash'! Great Video. Great fun. 👋👋👋 I also LOVE that he brings back the sweet suspense of S & S [ Sensuality and Suggestion ]- rather than all that gross in your face soft-porn 'hang it all out there and grind it about' sexuality that we are SOOOO Sick of in so many other music videos. Respect!

But that's not only simple song. First - contrast between video and lyrics. You can think at first that's a love lyric. Or about loneliness. But there is much more when you contrast it with images and think deeper. Second - a funny vibe in a horror style - that's really great. Third - the newspaper: title and two Dimash'es faces - there is a lot of meaning. Also The Flower Duet isn't placed there only for a bit of a horror vibe. This duet lyrics correspond with first phrases sung by Dimash. So I don't think that this piece is too simple for him. He has many more simple songs in his repertoire. You just touched only surface of this movie video.

Best lyrics for a creepy song. 😨 When I've Got You lyrics Making my way,//Way down south to the river.//Been lost for days,//'Cause I'm looking for freedom. //There's nothing but chains around me,//But I won't be broken.//'Cause I'm gonna fight this time,//Fight every moment. Pre-Chorus 1 Not gonna lie,//It hurts this time,//'Cause I am feeling alone on this side.//Not gonna lie,//I come back to life,//When I've got you. Chorus You are my gateway to heaven,//If I ever knew in my life,//My love, oh, my baby.//You are the best thing to happen.//I've got an angel down here, angel right here,//Watching every single thing and every little step that I take.//You make it all worth it baby. Finding my place, Just a man in a man's world.//Making a name,//Ain't easy these days.//But when I come home to your sweet love,//You're my slice of heaven.//I've got my ride or die,//In my arms all night. Pre-Chorus 2 Not gonna lie,//It hurts sometimes,//When I am feeling alone on this side.//Not gonna lie,//I come back to life,//When I've got you. Chorus Pre-Chorus 3 Chorus -END-

I always respect a lot your remarks. Agree, that the song doesn’t match his abilities. However, Dimash has been an experimenter and innovator. When he sang Passione, for example, I felt it was pushing too much into classical highbrow and many Dears would be left behind. He did it, good, but did not continue down that road. I think it’s the same here, he’s experimenting some new avenue, and may I say, doing so masterfully. Definitely, one can see and hear the American influence, and this was probably intended as his front line attack into the American music industry.

Greetings, the idea of singing in English is because he is already super well known in his country and in other European countries, but he is not very well known in the American market. There are several videos of him in the United States where he had visited a while ago because he wants to do the crossover and enter a new market. There are also songs where he sings in Spanish, the bigger the market, the more audiences he will reach. I met him singing in English because I don't know his language and if I had only heard him in his native language, I don't think I will be hearing any song of him.

Hi. I like your reactions, you have a wonderful professional vision. But I think many people forget that Dimash isn't just a wonderful singer with deep and emotional songs. He just a young man like any other and I think, he also likes to do musics movie videos just for fun, using influences of his teenager's years. He loves Michael Jackson and cinema and we clearly see these references like Thriller and Ghost from MJ, Bran Stoker's Drácula, Van Helsing, Interview with the vampire...And about the loneliness in the lyrics is a main theme in all great vampires movies like the two last that I mentioned. If you thought this is not a song that represents Dimash you'd think the same if you ser Fly away, Screaming and Be with me. And as I said, Dimash is the best one but he's also a young boy enjoying things of his young years

@PhoenixVocalStudio It's a pleasant surprise to stumble across your channel. I enjoyed your reaction to this song, for various reasons. Though you did miss a couple of aspects of this song, I would say. Firstly Dimash did it because he thought it would be fun and that's a perfectly valid reason in itself. Secondly, because it further breaks down the barriers put around him in terms of how others expect him to be. For example, singing 'deep' songs, or classical and so on and being somewhat angelic in others' perception of his personality. Some so called pop music comes to be understood also as its' own representation of art and good art, (with some being great art) at that, given time. I may well be biased and I would admit that, but I would say that is the case here, though good but not great. As an aside here, I would mention of course, that I also appreciate the painting of the Buddha you have behind you. The pertinent message too. I hope you are taking very good care of yourself and thank you for this reaction. :)

I know what you mean and Dimash still does that, I believe this was an attempt to break into the American market. He just released a video Omir which is like you speak of he also did the duet with Pridio Domingo. He is doing it all. I love the song and video and I understand this is not nearly his capabilities, but if targeting a larger audience then it may of been what was needed. Just guessing on my part, I don't think he cane to America and stayed for no reason, he always has a reason for what he does. I do believe he knows what he is doing.

A sztori is tetszik.
