Mount Papandayan - An active volcano in Java Islands Indonesia is a complex volcanic site. Last erupted in 2002 costed a lot of lives and still today the crater is pretty much active. I hiked to the mouth of the crater and heard exceptional stories about its name and what locals feel about it. Its a deadly volcano located miles away from the nearby town Garut in the Bandung district of West Java.
You can hike up to the crater of the volcano and experience the heat and burnt fumes coming out with pungent sulphuric acid smell. And within the range of this Mountain is a dead forest where all the vegetation died due to a volcanic eruption few years ago.
