When Iban meets German - A Cross-Cultural Wedding

Күн бұрынIt was an honor to be able to be the cinematographer for my best friend, Allexis (Iban heritage) & Anika's (German heritage) wedding in Sarawak, Borneo.
It's not an everyday thing where you see both individuals from 2 very different heritage and background join hands in a union. It was certainly a huge honor for me to be the one to record this memorable day.

@@queenierani3076 in beauty iban people always say like kumang mean beautiful but she is only story dont know whether she is real appear to grade2 grand father before or not we never know. If want to know also very long story.

@@mariahmichellbeautywednesn1360 from my knowledge. Kumang is the Goddess from old Iban pagan belief. The beauty pageants among the Ibans maidens are coined from this Pagan Goddess namesake as a homage and tribute to her beauty. Hence the beauty pageants are called pekit Kumang...

@@queenierani3076 I know about it because am Iban. I just use gelaran only to say kumang is beauty queen. If competition beauty during gawai people will say kumang gawai, so that what I mean. ok I know about kumang story, just a story.

@@mariahmichellbeautywednesn1360 well surprise.. I'm an Iban too. Iban Saratok aku tu... And that's how you're suppose to tell people when you're asked. Tell them the origin of the namesake. Whether to you the pagan petara is merely a story or an old belief is irrelevant. People need to know the actual truth and the origin of the namesake kumang.
