Jake and Niki's friendship is so very much big brother little brother but also that they both grew up where there isnt the respect ur elders to an inch of ur life culture. (I forgot the proper word) so whilst the other members might find it a bit jarring when niki isnt always the perfect dongsaeng, (I prolly spelt that wrong lol) as a fellow Aussie, how Jake treats niki is how I also treat my friends who are a number of years younger than me. the amount of times at work when I will hang out and chat w the younger ones and im like how old do u think I am, and their like ur my age rnt u?? ur 16 right?? and im jsut like, well im 20 but yeah sure. at least when I was growing up it was very common to be friends w ppl older and younger than you, whereas in Korea, it doesnt seem to be as much so.
