usually they focus on a player's single strongest point (curry for 3's for example) and somehow it overrules a player's versatility (exception of this would be jordan)

He won with 6 with Pippen, he won 1 in college with Worthy who also won 3 in the NBA, Magic is the greatest PG ever and was the guy Jordan was trying to pass and Hakeem was the only other player to win during his Era so it makes alot of sense why he picked them specifically

​@@magnetik297 in alot of pickup games, you have to win to keep playing. Not enough courts so you got guys waiting to play the winner. Keep winning, keep playing, lose and go sit. Holding onto the ball in this context is likely what he meant. Magic would obviously be taking the rock at point guard.

In a pickup top 5, I would swap out Worthy in favour of Bird to add more outside scoring from deep & a major 3-pt threat, plus another great clutch scorer! Magic MJ Pip Bird The Dream …alternates The Admiral Mr R., Rodman, Stockton, Shaq, Steph C.

It’s such a credit to Hakeem that he went two spots ahead of Jordan in the draft, and no one bats an eye. He was an elite, generational talent. Absolutely worthy of going at the one spot. No question about it. It just so happens that there was a similarly talented, and pathologically competitive player also in the draft who turned into the 🐐

For people who werent born yet or never got a chance to watch hakeem play. He definitely was a gift to basketball. His footwork was unmatched and his scoring was unstoppable. He was another kareem abdul jabber. Even shaq had problems with trying to stop him from scoring.
